Explicit Violence

Thirteen years ago there was a massacre. A witch hunt of the worst kind with the ashes of innocents falling from the sky.

Now the world is made up of fragile glass, the cracks sharp and jagged. Something that cuts easily and deep, blood dripping from its shards.

The world waits in baited breathe, hatred curling deep in the crimson sea boiling right beneath the surface. All it takes is one wrong move and then everything shatters and the world is flooded with blood.

It starts with the girl with the bleeding hair in the middle of the monster filled mountains.

It starts when Ann takes a life that was never hers to take.

It starts with Felix asking a boy if he wants to change the world.

It starts when Mihr falls apart.

It starts with a bloody smile and an apology.

It ends when every shard drowns and nothing remains of what they once knew.

Oscar was going to do something never done before, he was going to make a game that you could live. He just needed to figure out the magic first and then he’d be set.

It’s a shame when things go sideways. It’s a bigger shame when the story doesn’t start where it is supposed to. It’s the biggest shame when he finds himself saving the villain he created rather than defeating him. But god forbid Vulcan actually call him by his name instead of calling him Oscre. It wasn’t like Oscar was ruining his entire story to help the kitsune. (Spoiler, he most certainly was and Vulcan was just ungrateful.)

Explicit Violence

Every eight years the villages offer up eight sacrifices to appease the dragon nest on their doorstep. Cythia knew she was going to be a sacrifice for several years, hard not to when she was arrested for witchcraft and was the only one in captivity for her entire imprisonment. So she made plans, great grandeur plans. All she needed was a little bit of help, maybe even a dragon. After all, dragons could bend the earth so the dragons could theoretically free her.

It's a shame then, that the dragons never showed up.

Turns out, her biggest enemy was going to be locked in a cave with seven others and not a single scrap of food left between them. ------------------------------------------------ (This is an experimental writing that I will be doing on the side of the Nephlim series.)

Explicit Violence

The world is glass, fragile and delicate. Something that should never be touched or bruised. Something that bleeds crimson pain and black hatred when the cracks begin.

It starts when the child with the bleeding hair asks, “Where is the dead man?”

It starts when Ann picks up the gun and ends a life that was never hers to take.

It starts when Felix goes to Aizel and asks him, “Do you want to start a war?”

It starts when Mihr falls apart.

The war started yesterday. The glass shatters today. The world drowns tomorrow. And no one knows if they will be able to pick up the bloodied shards at the very end.

(This is a rough draft)
