Hi I just spent the last several hours curating this base fav folder on my DA that consists solely of scene dog (or similar) bases (and free to use animation templates!) that fit these requirements:
- allow modification
- allow adopt use
- allow pre existing ocs to be drawn on them
- allow use off site (aka Toyhou.se and any other site that isn't DA)
- authentically from 2008-2015
- don't have weird rules
- free to use
2015 is the end of the era but some posts posted then are older! If you see a post made after 2015 in here it is because it's a re-upload of stuff that was lost to time or reuploaded by the artist later with edits. I have been able to verify the art featured in re uploads fits these requirements by finding their posts on the wayback machine (broken images but same image URL so the description shows) and checking the use details :) if you want screenshots I can supply them!
Enjoy!!!! I'd love to know what you guys make with these, I know they aren't mine by any means but I made this collection to help others who want bases for their old ass ocs. I will be using these to create new more up to date references and fun art of my adopted ocs from 2008-2013 ^^

Whyn did the covers for Lookaftering and Heartleap! Her main focus in art has always been windhounds, whippets, and animals like deer and rabbits :) !!! So yeah

As u guys may have gathered I have been slowly but surely building up a silly animal army for my animal story. It's pretty non serious because I am doing it strictly for fun but I think it's about time I unveil it for you all to see. I am still writing oc profiles but I will update the character when I finish their bio so just check your notifs for updates lol. As of now every folder has a nice chunky description with LORE.
Also! If you see an OC in the linked folder called "TBN " Or "UNNAMED" feel free to link them below and suggest names :) I would really appreciate it! Some of them have me truly stumped.

I feel as though the Maddie era is taking a hiatus so I can focus on other characters. I really like this drawing of Franky so I figured it'd be a good replacement. What do you guys think?
hi :) ill draw your OCs for 5$+. May be shaded, colored, textured, etc. I am willing to add blocky lettering if you provide me with a song + choice lyrics. I wanna try out some brushes and techniques on characters that are not my own! Due to the price this will be mostly artists' choice when it comes to pose/texture/ etc BUT you're likely getting 60$+ value work for cheap. If you'd like to send me more money I will put more effort into it, 5$ is just the base price. Money will be put towards taking care of my kitten and myself :)
