Hot Pink Bloodbath
A story of godly betrayal and separation
Mount Xersez (xser-ses) is a very tall mountain located at the very back of the city of Syderville, the capital of Sorwin. Mt. Xersez is split up into two altitude based factions & Cities, The Magic, who live in The High City and The Quetzin, who live in Quetzinolis. There are also smaller locations on the mountain occupied by smaller groups of these larger factions such as Nell's Burrow.
The Magic are a group of one-off chimeric creatures with great power that reside near the top of the mountain.
The Quetzin are residents of the city Quetzinolis which is home to many dragon subspecies and other similar creatures. They are often featured in folklore tales and are known as bringers of knowledge or news.
The High City is home to The Magic, a group of ancient chimeric creatures with great power or ability. This group has been long regarded as brutal in its general practices of recruitment as it is seen as a privelege to belong to this group. Many of The Magic live in other places outside of The High City even though it is the birthplace of the group. While The Magic aren't entirely their own species they may sometimes act like they are. Some were granted powers by sheer coincidence, fate, or were born into it. It is said babies born into powers like this may look nothing like either parent as they are destined to live a very long, ruling life. TLDR; The Magic are a group of unrelated chimeric creatures with long lifespans who come from all over the world and meet at or live in The High City atop Mt. Xersez.
Nell's Burrow is a small farm and cabin area owned by a very old and wise member of The Magic named Nell. Nell herself uses her peace and quiet to transmute healing crystals, natural remedies, and limited magic potions for utility. These potions contain magic meant to be used to change certain physical aspects of the body to help with those who are transitioning or internally ill. She also creates patents and helps with accessibility for low-cost assistive technology since she herself lost a limb in battle and is hard of hearing in one ear. She separated herself from The High City due to the lack of trust she had in the motives of some of the residents. A lot of other members like herself have moved far beyond the city in hopes of helping non-magic havers directly. Saturn stays with her to learn the value of personal connection beyond family and compassion for creatures who aren't magically inclined.
Quetzinolis is a booming sky-high city that is populated mostly by three similar species:
The True-Dragons who are, you guessed it, dragons. They are mostly hybrids of interbreeding species from across the world who settled in the area hundreds of thousands of years ago. True-Dragons do have limited magical abilities which tend to be randomized due to hybridization of genes.
The Dragon-Dogs, who are magically created hybrid offspring between True-Dragons and overworld dog species. These hybrids tend to be visually split between dog and dragon in a half/half fashion and rarely posess magic of their own.
The Dindratogs are a species of dog-like creatures with avian, reptilian, and dinosaurian characteristics that give birth in pairs of completely visually different pups named opposite of each other (EX: LOVELIFE+HATEDEATH).
The city used to be very exclusive and inaccessible to non-flying creatures as a lot of the members thought allowing visiters would break the illusion of them being knowledge bringers but these days they don't care much and many who live there even encourage tourism by creating baskets and other transportation methods from ground to Quetzinolis.
About 500 years ago a monarchy ruled over the kingdom of Sorwin, mounting itself near the bottom of Mt. Xersez. King Somewhat had several sons, none of which he believed fit to rule. In a last-ditch effort to find an heir as he neared the end of his life, he tasked the castle's alchemist to breathe life to his favorite glass statuette. In his final years, this living now-life-sized glass statuette named Paradise was raised as a son by the castle staff and eventually became ruler after his father's death. Due to huge feelings of resentment and anger, King Paradise was in constant danger from his siblings who took any chance they got to do something to get him out of the picture.
Only a couple of years went by before Paradise had gone missing. The kingdom went into lockdown, and the Council Of The Magic, headed by Ruby, took over while the search for him continued. There was no luck, and pressures started to amount on Ruby due to constant questioning from the public. It got so bad that she knew she was going to be asassinated, and had to leave her child at the doorstep of her biggest supporters. Because of this, her son Tetnus was raised alongside Rejector as his brother. The two of them eventually became the heads of The Council Of The Magic and are still to this day.
Syderville is the town located directly below Mt. Xersez and contains many different overworld species cohabitating. Among the non-magic havers there are a select few of The Magic who reside in this city and help with building and other utilities. This city is small but well put together with built-up housing districts and office buildings. This small city is surrounded mostly by rural farming communities and edible crop farming fields which makes it a very interesting place to live.

In the outer portions of Syderville there stands several science outposts bordering the nearby Knight Lake and Syder Nature Reserve.
Presto-Transit Industries is a very large all-encompassing company that manufactures explosives, outerware, and medication/potions/etc. It is said they also have a secret lab, but that's never been confirmed. Everyone chalks that up as rumor about their medical unit anyways.
Lennon cave is a cave right at the base of Mt. Xersez that contains the remnants of ancient glowing megafauna. Due to its scientific significance is often barred off and only opened for select scientists to study and visit. It is also a site of cultural significance for The Quetzin who used the cave as a place of meditation when they first settled their town on the mountain.
Interestingly, this is also the ancestral home of the Sugarbeasts, who still reside in the farther reaches of the cave. The Quetzin and Sugarbeasts were sworn enemies for most of history due to them trying to take over the cave when they settled in the area, so they are generally thought to be completely extinct.
A select few scientists tasked with area survey are privy to their existence, but are under oath not to say a word to any outside force. All Sugarbeasts posess the ability to shapeshift for short periods of time so some are tasked with leaving the cave for certain resources.
Pinwheel Circus is a family-owned establishment that offers joy and amusement at no real cost to the lives of others. They are very ethical and use magic to make things appear and do tricks. The only member of the circus NOT blood family is Dandy, who is honorarily in because he's married to Jewel, one of Winona's daughters
Knight Lake and its surrounding properties are the subject of much debate when it comes to affordable housing contraversies as the entire lakefront area surrounding it has been made into luxury condos for the most part. This is threatening the last few businesses around its border such as the old Pinwheel Circus and Syderville History Museum & Nature Center, which is run by a minor swamp diety named Cobb.

Sinset is an island inside Knight Lake that is notable for its many caves and cliffs as well as beautiful views and crystal abundance. The island is owned in part by Pauline and her family, and partly by family who has called the island their generational home for centuries. Hundreds of years ago Pauline's parents were tasked with defending the island from Lou and others who wanted to deplete its natural resources. In modern times it is protected solely by Pauline due to her parents moving to The High City to participate in the council.
a vast overused piece of farmland overgrown with acidic soil native plants. its animal inhabitants are usually hidden until the night due to the lack of established trees for cover. some say deep in The Barren Acres lies a horrible evil
This refers to any character that lives outside of the territory of Sorwin, previously the Sorwin Kingdom. Other kingdoms, countries, etc. This encompasses any location outside of Sorwin so some may be close and others very far!
