☢ early bird or night owl?: naturally nocturnal but my sleep """"cycle"""" is so annoying and fluctuating lol currently i get sleepy at like. 7pm. and wake up 3-6am. this will change in a week.

☢ first thought in the morning: (dialup noise)
☢ last thought before falling asleep: what if this oc and that one kisse--heres a rerun of every way you ever fucked up--no no forget that. back to the oc thing.

☢ Do you work or are you a student?: work! although i have a bachelors of fine arts (specifically in "drawing and painting" which sounds goofy as fuck but you know).
☢ What do you do well?: well i sure hope i can draw alright. aside from that i am pretty okay at reverse engineering clothing patterns but only if im doing it for doll clothes lol. and i can make a mid website for sure.
☢Habits (Do you..?)☢
☢ drink: started as a teen but quit after it started getting out of control. lots of alcoholics in my family and i dont like that trend very much so i just dont drink at all :P saves me a lot of money lol.
☢ exercise: urgh not any more as an adult. i was on my bullshit again for a while but fell off the bandwagon hard.... hoping to do lots of hiking this summer!
☢ have a go-to comfort food?: its stupid but definitely mcdonalds orz i moved a Lot as a kid with busy parents who didnt really cook. you may lose all your friends and landmarks every 1-3 years but even in other cities, counties, and countries you can still get a consistent chicken nugget..........
☢ have a nervous habit?: i definitely do but i dont register them so.... who knows. i do talk to myself excessively when im alone though.
☢ What is your favorite...?☢
☢ food?: theres so many good foods how could i choose!? hard to go wrong with a good unagi-don though....
☢ drink?: big red, which probably has all the health benefits of drinking battery acid but consider: tastey
☢ animal?: the noble horse..... sandpipers and plovers, dolphins, sea urchins, seals, shrimp.... capybara but before they were cool, their rectangular profiles deeply impacted my furry art in 2005 ish lol....
☢ artist/band: kikuo might be my fav but he competes steeply with artists like metaroom, depeche mode, genesis.... but also there is so much out there!!!! go surf bandcamp NOW 🔪 and also go click on albums on my album picker!!!
☢ games: m...... monster hunter.... wilds comes out next year i am dying..... but i grew up on a lot of pokemon, and watching my friend play zelda. twiling princess 4ever.... and recently ive been playing the first and now second pikmin and i really like them!
☢ tv show: various stupid animes i dont want to list here LOL but i watched a lot of MASH growing up and while it can be a real rollercoaster watching it with modern sensibilities i appreciate its progressive ideas in its original context. also i think at this point the forensic files narrator qualifies as my other father DFGHF
CSS/design trades/other ruminations
How do you like to relax?
Hello! It's me, lol. You may have observed some colour changes while reading this--its a little update to my CSS I finally got around to, isn't that nice? Fixed my profile and folder icons to match too, how exciting.
I've also added some new things to my trade/sale folder if you care to look. Mostly older design and trinkets that I'm finally ready to let go of ^^ as always I'm open to haggle, and if we're friends or mutuals or whatever feel free to ask about things not in the tentative folder and I might just gift it to you lol.
Hmm so it's been a little umm let's say busy for me--i think caught up on the messages I hadn't answered yet (sorry to everyone who's patient enough to be my friend lol, I genuinely appreciate you) but if I still owe you a reply just let me know. Re: commissions, those have been slowly sent out as well, not finished yet but you can expect them soon if you haven't received yours already!
I have some updates I've been meaning to make to my website for months, adopts that need starting and finishing, so on and so forth.... This is just kind of a casual update from me, I don't have a lot of energy to work with so things will be slow for the foreseeable future but I'm glad for anyone who enjoys my work or just likes hanging out. A straightforward question if you'd like to ruminate on it with me: For social media, do you prefer feed-based websites or gallery-based websites?
I think they have their pros and cons, although one type is certainly more prevalent nowadays haha. Feed-based makes it easier to discover and share new artists and other types of posters; but gallery-based makes it easier to look back on old works and encourages spending more time on a given post.
I think purely for the experience of posting and communicating with other people, I prefer the gallery-style, like DeviantART. It's also nice to be able to like..... find things, lol.... although it does feel a bit awkward to bump old works even though it's an option, so I avoid it. I used to post religiously to tumblr until one day i just, stopped; now that site feels the most like screaming into the void to me lol, although i still use it for non-art-posting purposes.
Today I woke up with the thought that I should probably expand the 'blog' type section of my website. I think I might rearrange a little bit and push it up to the top level, and have it be a nice place to post my catalogue of works and still be able to write more than 280 characters about it, haha. Being able to string together multiple works into a discussion on a topic seems fun too, and I am still sitting on some tutorial ideas + a fully written article(?) on file organization that I should probably publish.... lol. But I feel like combining that more exploratory space with the posting on platforms that I already do could be a good way to make room for a more static/permanent archive than constantly scrolling feeds allows for.
What do you think? Does a specific website stand out to you for sharing art/other works?

Commissions Info
- Design Updates are now indefinitely open! Instead of limited slots, I'll be taking them as they come, so feel free to comment or send a note if you'd like to pick one up. If my schedule becomes full I'll close them temporarily; if they are closed feel free to ask for a ping when they reopen! You can find info on DA or my website.
- Regular commission slots will be opening again on June 5th! I'll have separate slots on both here on Toyhouse and on DeviantART.
- I've updated my commission menu on my website, check it out! You can also find design update info there now.
- The next Custom Design auction will be held on July 3rd! It will be run the same as the others.

- I'm hoping to make more one-off designs, but is there something you'd like to see? Let me know!
