Looking at Reinku and Kimiko always hits me with a sense of nostalgia T^T I use to watch a lot of shoujo and played otome games when I was in junior high. Seeing them makes me feel all fuzzy AHAHA If you don't mind can I hear about their relationship together? I would love to know more about them (*≧▽≦)

Ahh oml thank you so much!! Those two are my absolute pride and joy so that means so so much to me <3333 Otomoes really heavily inspired them as well since I was also really into those as a teenager! I'm happy to answer any questions if you have specific ones :) I also made them a Weebly when I was like 15-16 years old and there are a few very poorly written stories on there that are super cringy for me to look back at hah but maybe it can give you a sense. The plotlines for the most part I intend to keep the same with minor tweaks and (hopefully) better writing cx

They're so wonderful and cute together ahhh ( ´͈ ◡ `͈ )❤️❤️❤️❤️ Sometimes there's a special charm in the old stories we write!!! A simplistic story that is easy to follow but still makes my heart skip a beat~ I really love the contrast in personality between them ehehe Maybe Kimiko's bubbly and happy go lucky personality will rub off on Reinku and he will become less reserved ❤️❤️❤️ Is there any overarching plot to their story? Like an antagonist or a goal they are both trying to pursue? Or would it be more focused on the slice of life elements where they get to know each other more and get to understand more about each other's backgrounds/ species?

Hah, I think Reinku is already softening up a bit 👀 The main story I'd describe as more slice of life so there's not really a main protagonist, goal, etc. Internally, I imagine Kimiko's goal is to be independent of her brother and establish her own identity. Reinku's and Kimiko's separate but kind of shared goal I see is making peace with never knowing their parents (or just mom for Reinku). I see the story as a kind of self-discovery for both of them (both with each other and as individuals). Hopefully, that doesn't sound too cliche hah I'm kind of at that point in my life as well, so I think as a 23-year-old adult, my insight and perspective can be a little more nuanced than that of a 15-year-old cx

At first, I created Tokiro to basically be the main rival standing in the way of their goals, but now I'm wanting him to be his own person with his own goals and issues. Much like Reinku and Kimiko, he wants inner peace with his childhood abandonment. That's why he's so protective and possessive of Kimiko. He's scared to let that last bit of family go and finally be truly on his own. I have a story that I've been brainstorming for him as well that just has yet to be written. That's my second priority after Reinku and Kimiko's.

That's not cliche at all! It's a wonderful topic to explore ;o; Everyone has their own journey during self exploration and it's always interesting to see other people's experiences or interpretation of it because it's never the same! I love how their goals are so similar yet different from one another through their experiences. Tokiro as a side character is also a very interesting addition. You can see Kimiko's situation through a different lense and perspective! An older brother with a different way of thinking and ideology ❤️❤️❤️ I think it serves as a beautiful contrast from each other ❤️❤️❤️ (I also love how Reinku is possessive ehehe I love when male leads are protective over their loved ones. I usually shun away from possessive love interests in novels these days because they're so abusive to their love interests T^T it hurts my heart and it's hard to swallow!) Thank you so much for sharing your story with me!! I had a lot of joy reading their story ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you ❤️ I'm not expecting to break new ground with their stories hah but hopefully I can develop it to be more mature and healthy, than the many otomes I read as a teen. While I don't want their relationship to be too perfect, I do strive to make it healthy. I'm trying to shy away from toxic and problematic romance tropes that I'm so familiar with and instead give each character their own depth independent of their significant other. I really dread writing a romance where the female protagonist is a shallow, one-dimensional character compared to her male counterparts. Hopefully, I'm doing that well so far! Thank you so much for your interest and for listening to my ramblings. I think answering these questions actually helped me develop them a lot more and clearly outline what and how I want each one of them to be.

your profile layout and organization is super aesthetically/visually pleasing!! it's refreshing to find another creator on this website who prefers to focus on anime-style humanoid characters haha

keep up the great work, your ocs and their profiles look awesome!

aaah oml thank you so much <3 That means a lot to me! It's always good to know other users who have similar character fascinations ^^
