The "fantasy AU" which houses some of my more magically inclined characters, and stories such as Shadow Over Moonbrooke.

On the planet of Esalud, the kingdoms of Falt, Barrera, Moonbrooke, and Torikago comprise the major powers.  The four are separated by oceans, except for the latter two, which are separated by a vast desert along the equator.  Moonbrooke and Torikago go above and beyond the peace treaty of the four nations, and have an alliance that goes back to a time of legend and myth.

Many of the wars of Esalud have been fought with terrible sorcery.  This has led many to distrust magic, though some, such as the academies and the engineers, persist in their studies.  Still, those who live in a major city, away from the highwaymen and dangerous wildlife, sleep safely enough at night.
