Rose admires Daniel’s confidence and lack of fear. She views him similar to a father figure
At first Daniel finds Arthur weak and easily manipulated to be used for his own benefit but over time he grows protective of him and starts to change his behavior. He doesn't realize he likes Arthur until just before their goals are completed.
