"Key!! Let's go skating!"
Wren loves Kiwi like a brother. They're basically joined at the hip; they do everything together. Wren will never forget the day they met each other: Kiwi fell on his ass while trying to learn how to do a basic ollie. He ended up cutting his elbow pretty badly and Wren helped him clean and dress his wound. Since then, they've been helping each other learn how to skate! Wren's favorite past times are skating along the beach or city with Kiwi or binging random anime while eating ramen or chips and salsa with him. Whenever she's with him, it's a good time!
"That's my best friend, she a real bad bitch."
Dude, Kiwi adores Wren with all of his heart. They are like twins in his eyes. They met at the skate park when they were in middle school and have been best friends ever since. They both like to laugh at the time when Kiwi had a small crush on Wren in the seventh and eighth grade. It's especially funny because Wren was the reason Kiwi found out he actually liked men as well. Long story short, they've been through it all together: thick and thin. They are friends for life.
"Stars, that stupid fucking bastard... Why is he so handsome!? How absurd!"
Rose will never admit it out loud but she is in fact attracted to Julius--the goddamned sadist himself, it's embarrassing! She gets easily annoyed when it comes to the things he says. He never knows when to be serious and it really contrasts with Rose's very focused and task-oriented disposition. Still, she finds him so endearing and can't help but reminisce about their times together when they are separated. Ugh, the nerve of that man, though! She likes him so much, he's so beautiful and charming... Dammit, it pisses her off!
"She's like a ball of fire. Anything I say pisses her off I swear! It's so fun to watch. Gods, she's so fun to watch..."
Julius likes to tease and mess with Rose. She reacts so perfectly every time, how can you blame him? He would never do anything to genuinely offend or hurt her though. If he ever feels like he starts to cross the line, he apologizes and backtracks immediately; this rarely occurs though. Julius openly flirts with Rose as well and it drives her insane. Julius thinks it's so entertaining and doesn't see himself stopping anytime too soon. He thinks she's so beautiful and selfless; he thinks she's amazing and he has to let her know. She never seems to take his comments seriously, but he means them from the bottom of his heart. She is simply divine. They definitely have a lot of chemistry and are very close, but Julius doesn't want to push things too far because he doesn't want to make Rose uncomfortable. He will just stick to the flirtatious jokes for now, even though not being able to tell Rose how he seriously feels drives him mad.
"He's a good guy I know it--deep, deep down."
Though Julius does like to bully Moon a little bit, Moon still knows it's from a place of love. He used to think Julius did not think highly of him, but after a short time, Moon noticed how his jokes never went too far, and how Julius kept a level of respect and formality in his tone when speaking to Moon in other circumstances. Moon looks up to Julius and hopes to attain a similar level of carefreeness when he's older. Julius inspires Moon, and he appreciates the man for being a sort of mentor for him, but not just in the way his parents expected him to be. Julius teaches Moon a lot about life and happiness; he feels like another older sibling. Moon was eternally grateful for him.
"Gods the kid is helpless... Someone's gotta be there to cheer him up, yeah?"
Julius' non-serious attitude may make it seem like he thinks Moon is pathetic or beyond help, but he really adores the kid and wants to be the person in his life who can provide a bit of normalcy. Sure, Julius will make fun of Moon and rag on him for the little things, but it's not relentless: he knows when it's appropriate, and when to stop. Julius wants to see Moon shine. He wants to help him get the hell away from his parents and become the best Representative Roçatora has ever fuckin' seen.
"She's like an older sibling to me, I'm not sure how it would be without her."
Rose is a better maternal figure to Moon than his mother will ever be. He loves and appreciates her dearly; he looks up to her and thinks she is quite wise. He'll always go to her first when he needs help or emotional support. Even if he just wants to talk mindlessly, he knows Rose is there to do that with him.
"My little mentor, he's my little moon. I shall protect him with my life."
Moon is a sweet boy in Rose's eyes who just needs someone to be able to lean on. Rose decides she will be that person for him. She loves him like a little brother and it pisses her off to see him troubled or in pain.
"He's all I've got, but will it be this way forever? I love him dearly, but surely this will not sustain."
Ara is a bit more cynical regarding her thoughts on the relationship between her and Moon. She also has deep feelings for him but is afraid of becoming too attached too quickly, because the future haunts her mind constantly. She knows what she feels for him is beginning to bridge the gap from platonic to something more, but she also knows it is unrealistic for them to be together as future people in power. They will simply be too busy for each other and drift away, leaving her to be lonely again. She'd rather it not hurt so much when that happens, so she neglects to address her true feelings.
"Stars, I really like her, but I can't understand it. How should I let her know of my feelings?"
Ara is one of Moon's first real friends, so he assumes the way he feels about her is purely platonic. Sure, it does begin that way, but over time, he starts to feel something more. Something in between platonic and romantic, but he can't seem to describe it clearly.
