Sometimes, Tempest dreams of running through hills of blue and yellow flowers, clutching the hands of someone she can't quite see, but still knows to be her closest friend and cousin. In the morning, she can't remember those dreams, but still feels a strange, aching loss.
Willow was young when his elder cousin disappeared. He doesn't quite miss her for herself, more of what she represents-- freedom from the throne as his aunt's daughter and Salix's rightful heir.
Definition of "father who thinks keeping his only child under tight lock will keep her safe and, moreso, loyal"
Cloudsea is his firstborn, born out of a loveless and abusive relationship. Catri took her and left his ex-partner and raised a kind, if quiet, young woman who wanted to see the stars, and so he let her go.
She grew up loved, is there any more to say? She still comes around for most birthdays and holidays, and while she's traveling, she keeps fond memories of her childhood close to her heart.
She loves Misaki like a moth to a flame, like the moons to the seas, and a kitten to a ball of wool. She cares for Misaki more than the grains of sand, and she's not hesitant to mention her wife to those she meets on her travels. If Cloudsea could move the moons, Misaki would own them all, but she contents herself to bringing just stories home for her love.
Cloudsea is her guiding light in the dark skies above the ocean. She is Misaki's muse in a world she cannot explore but enjoys hearing of all the time. Their love is a sweet and tender thing that Misaki would not trade for the world.
Unfortunately, Catri's name is, in itself, a cat pun
Unfortunately, Meowtini picked up Catri's dislike of cat puns
Konpeitō watched Ao die, and had to move on. Though they were twins, or as twins as vessels can be, they both had watched many of their siblings die in similar ways, and though there was no shade left behind, Konpeitō had no doubt that Ao was dead. Konpeitō... moved on. Didn't quite forget Ao, but never dwelled.
Ao died and with it, their memories died as well. They did not remember hands clasped together in fear, or helping each other across gaps in ledges.
Hm... if he were any less hot, they probably wouldn't kiss as much.
They clash in a way that is unbelievably hot. She is fire where he is ice, and their love is an explosion of shards that melt before it can cause harm. They're hard on each other, but ultimately, he can't deny her a thing.
They compliment each other in an odd way. Where Shirotora is brash, Kaede is cool-headed. Their romance is new and exciting in... an almost boring way. He likes that. (Calls him Bacon Boy)
Shirotora is the sun, and Kaede is the moon. He brightens with Shiro's presence, and appreciates his interest in his experimental work, as unethical as it can sometimes be. Their love is... oddly soft, as if it were a bull trying to live in coexistence with the fine china around it.
Catri feels safe around Shirotora. He makes Catri feel like he's more important than the world, and he loves him for it.
Shirotora finds him funny and good company. They've only recently started dating, but Shirotora would destroy the world if anyone harmed a hair on Catri's head.
Tempest finds him annoying at the best of times, but often finds herself liking him because of that fact. She'd rather die than tell anyone, but she finds herself glad he's there, even if she'd never get with him in a million years.
Kaede likes their odd rivalry they have going on, even though she often intrudes on things he'd rather she not. It's a nice reality check, usually, to remind him that while his past is filled with mistakes, he's not incapable of learning to do better, even when he'd rather not.
Tempest knows him almost more than she knows herself, and always finds herself sweet on him, even at times when he irritates her. She loves him, plain and simple.
They grew up together, and Catri helped her when she had nothing. Love came easy to them, and kisses almost even easier.
