Post apocalyptic world, where nature has reclaimed the earth. Humanity has endured and over the years some have attempted to rebuilt what was while others are working on survival. The natural world has changed and evolved for the future, while humanity clings to the past. This story is re-written from a dream journal entry.
Penelope and JD are resting at camp by the fire, while Magnolia and Jasper are out getting food. Penelope has been part of this band of wild Oddcrura for a while and is wondering about JDs past and how she’s been doing while alone all this time.
J.D, a 16 year old oddcrura who's lived on her own since she was 7, heads home after a day of scavenging the junk yard and hanging out with the other teenagers. They're not exactly nice, but she doesn't blame them too much, they're probably just grumpy from being cooped up behind human fences. Going home is relieving but its quick to remind her how lonely she is sometimes.
Hotwire is on a high stakes mission to earn his living. Unfortunate during his heist he’s seen by the worker on duty in the archive. That’s not a huge deal, Hotwire can improvise his way out of any situation, but the mech who caught him is unintentionally cracking his facade.
