Nathan was hired as their engineer after he shot up Oo'gala. Needless to say, it was enough of a impression to earn him a spot aboard the ship. He's a bit of an asshole, what with all the nicknames, the teasing, the being rude, the screwing with Vos... but even so, he has his merits. ||
|| "I have spared Nathan from our frustrations a good several times and he doesn't even realize it. I can't count the number of occasions that I have been the voice of reason when dealing with him; he simply does things without thinking of the consequences. Perhaps that is just a trait that we take for granted, but none of the others seem to have such a hard time with it. He usually means well, but on occasion, his intentions simply do not align with the outcome."
|| "It is all too clear that Nathan only on occasion actually thinks through what he is about to do before doing it. He should consider himself lucky that Kiron, though mostly Xroah, remains empathetic towards him. Despite Xroah's objections, I believe that he could benefit form a good ass-kicking every now and again."
Hunter, despite both his previous name, Fury, and his current one, is actually a surprisingly chill guy once you get past the whole bounty hunter tossing people out of airlocks thing. Plus, he's indisputably bad ass, what with being naturally intimidating as most [Xirirque*?] tend to be, owning that crazy anti-pixie gun, and being the only one of us with actual experience on how to hunt down bounties- except for maybe Kiron who does seem to know what she's doing? She may also just be pretending, honestly. And another bonus; he does all the busy work for us. Seriously, why isn't HE the captain again?? ||
Charlotte only knows Michael Thomas as the president [2016-2023*?] who shattered the two-party system and spared everyone from the potential results of the train-wreck that was the 2016 election. She agrees with many of his beliefs and practices, and was even all for having another enlightened president. ||
Michael Thomas was an unexpected, but greatly appreciated, late entry into the 2016 election. He managed to win the election as an independent runner by a possibly surprising landslide. Teresa appreciates his efforts, but is personally hesitant over his position, as his power over persuasion could be considered a form of mass manipulation. Most however feel that this supernatural charisma has reaped far more benefits than concerns, so perhaps Teresa is in the minority. Either way, it is difficult to dispute his overall success. ||
Greg was at first hesitant over Michael Thomas's views; but hey, back in 2016, he was by far the best option as far as the numbers go. As time went on Greg began to appreciate him more. ||
