Say what you will, but I think TobyMac is going to stay active for at least a few more seasons. He might even have another album in him. But even if he retires soon, he'll still be relevant for a good while.
Cat Trinity just got another image (which I love very much) I still don't know what to do if she reaches 25 images before human Trinity.
So I typically sort my characters' images when the count in their main gallery reaches 25. But what if one of a character's tabs reaches 25 before their main gallery? I haven't really thought of it because it never happened before. But it might happen with Trinity. Her main gallery has 10 images, so technically she'd be 15 images away from sorting, but the tab for her cat design has 15 images, because I made a few extra ones and people on Artfight seem to like attacking Cat Trinity more. I don't know what I'm going to do if Cat Trinity's tab hits 25 first, but for now I'll just wait it out.

Oh no, I may have accidentally made Apocalypse Cosmo into an offensive disabled stereotype. I feel like I should put him and the other Apocalypse AU designs on auth-only and remove them from my Artfight roster, and later I'll ask people to give me advice on how to fix this.
Michael is straight, but not really seeking a relationship. He is perfectly content being single. However, if perhaps the right molly were to come along, he might be romantically interested in her. Michael also isn't that interested in having kittens. But, considering how he's based on one of Tobymac's most family-oriented albums, he would probably be a pretty good father. If, hypothetically, Michael were to get married, his mate would likely want to have kittens, and convince him to have them with her, and Michael would actually grow to love his kittens.
Erica does NOT have age regression. She's supposed to be a nostalgia-inspired OC, and she's a very mature 12-year-old. Being more mature than average for your age is the opposite of age regression.
I'm looking into 2010's fashion for Erica's outfit, and there are so many interesting items to choose from. I might have to give her multiple outfits (I mean, Trinity has a few outfits and is about to get many more, so I might as well)

If I were to meet Seth on the street and pat him on the back, he wouldn't be happy because of all I put him through and that he doesn't like strangers touching him, but at least he wouldn't try to kill me, because Seth is really gentle and sweet and probably incapable of killing anyone or even injuring them. No, Seth would just be really scared.

Todd Day (Sol and Luna's first born son) canonically remembers hearing TobyMac on the radio. There's a decent chance that their second child, Jackie, will remember hearing him as well.
I think I'm going to decide that both Ice and Seth have pretty shoddy memory. Ice has depression, which I recently learned can mess up your memory, and Seth more likely than not has brain damage, which surely also affects his memory.

Finally settled upon a name for the band with my Minecraft OCs for the AU. They'll be called Pixel Eyes (which sounds like Pixelize.) I think it's perfect, and it's kind of mix of two name candidates I considered, Pixel Ghosts and Eyes of Ender (which is very Minecrafty.)
I really projected into Kaya Emerald. She has my shyness and the same height and hair texture as me. Maybe she could have been a self-insert in an alternate universe.
With the that brand-new Seth ref, it really feels like a new era for him. Maybe it's an era where his life actually gets better for once.
The hardest part of curating a playlist is adding the songs from my favorite artists. I know that seems weird, but I do kind of struggle with this.
I was researching flower symbolism for an upcoming Seth art piece, and I found out that Cosmo and Violet share names with their respective birth flowers! Cosmo's birthday is October 17, and Violet's is sometime in February, but I haven't settled on an exact date yet (of course, Valentines Day and Leap Day are out. And Violet wasn't even born in a leap year.)
Here's a tip for when you're watching a music video or performance video with your favorite artist. Don't do it on an empty stomach or a full stomach. Do it when you're satiated- not if you're really hungry or if you've just had a large meal. If you're hungry, maybe you can have a light snack first, and if you're full, maybe you can wait an hour or two.
I'm thinking about the time my aunt offered me a chance to rewatch the clip her daughter-in-law took of the TobyMac concert, but then I remembered I had just had a large meal and I was like, "Nope, nope, I just ate. Don't want to mess with this on a full stomach."

I finally got someone to make me a custom based on a TobyMac album, so I'll likely take down those ads soon, but remember how I wanted to give this potential character extra accessories inspired by all of Toby's albums? Well I've already started doing that with Trinity, and I don't think I'll have time to do it with this new character before Artfight. And the accessories would likely look a lot like the ones I'm planning for Trinity.
My goodness, why didn't I give any serious thought to using Just the Way You Are as a theme song for Sol and Luna until now? I'm mean, I'm sure I considered it in the past, but didn't actually decide for it to be one of their songs. Those lyrics fit them to a T! Just the Way You Are is definitely going in their playlist that I hope to create soon.
Also worth mentioning that with that addition, Sol and Luna now have 11 songs planned for their playlist. That's more than anyone, and also, double digits!

Fun fact: in the very first iteration of my Minecraft refs (c. 2019-2020,) the Emerald Twins shared a ref. But they've had separate refs since the 2021 versions.

There! Now most of the Surrounding Darkness characters are log-in access only. I was considering privating them because I am doing horribly right now and I think those characters are part of the problem.
The Surrounding Darkness characters are making me really, really sad right now. That could jeopardize Dan and Mercury's status as comfort OCs, but fortunately for them, they're based on music by one of my favorite artists, so that kind of saves them. I guess Dan and Mercury are the SD characters that make me the least sad.
Seth is probably better off than the characters that inspired him (it's worth mentioning that many of them die young)
If all goes well, I might end up with a total of 10 comfort OCs (originally, I thought I was only going to have 8.)

The Artfight prep is really starting to pick up now, and I'm happy to say that I've almost finished a set of icons, and will soon begin the first set of refs! I'm little nervous because someone in that set of refs is getting a mega ref. I think you might know who it will be. I'd consider myself blessed if I can finish that mega ref in under a month, because I can already tell that it's going to be quite a beast.

I just love the word momentum. And not just because it's an album by my favorite singer, though that helps a little.
The fact that Seth only has 4 songs in his playlist is a crime. (I actually thought of a 5th one, but that TobyMac is one tough act to follow. And my guy of all time needs way more than 5 songs.)
Okay, here's what I'll do. I could add a couple of Imagine Dragons songs to Seth's playlist, which are a pretty good thing to follow up TobyMac, and then I can add that song from the previous comment. That would give Seth maybe 7 or 8 songs, which still isn't much, but at least we're getting somewhere.
You know, I think I'll decide that Norman is the one who saves Ice from nearly drowning. Of course, Riley is the one who pulls her from the water, but is unable to resuscitate her. Whenever I try to imagine the person who does resuscitate her, it's always some black dude who might resemble Norman. Also, Norman and Riley meeting in this situation would be pretty interesting, especially since they share a mutual friend in Seth. Norman would save Ice and introduce himself, and then Riley would find out that he also knows Seth.
Boy do I wish I had more friends I could talk with about music.
I also kind of wish that people would just casually recommend songs to me with my OCs in mind. Like, I'd probably be pretty happy if someone said, "Hey, think this song fits so-and-so!" or "I just heard this song and thought of so-and-so!" And I would try to give the songs a listen to see if the really fit the OCs.
I'm probably going to make thread asking for song recommendations for possible expansion of my OC playlists, but I'd probably need to fill out my OC's profiles so that people can learn about them (I'm also desperately hoping that someone decides to make me a song-inspired Artfight attack this year.)

Interesting how the characters I choose for the band AU have the most diverse body types. Ruby is petite and diminutive, Tess is muscular, Cosmo is fat, Seth is unhealthily skinny, and Gary is tall and lanky with a lean muscular build. They're going to be so much fun to draw in a group.
Likely going to make it canon that Luna Day gets chubbier later in life because she gets pregnant 7 times (once with twins.)
I'm considering doodling Tess with her hair braided. I'm kind of curious about what she would look like. Also thinking of doodling Coral with straight/neat hair.
If I draw Henchcats 1 and 2 together, there'd be such a comical height difference, because 1 is so short and 2 is so tall. (Also, I did draw them together before, but that was with my old style, and my old style didn't show heights as well as my new one. Maybe I should redraw that piece with all the darkness cats.)
Even when I eventually make the Double Life characters public, the art of their old designs will always be auth-only.
I know there are a lot of young people out there who like older music (like from the 60's, 70's and 80's) and many of them probably found that music on their own, but I'm sure several of them like it because they have parents or grandparents who grew up during those eras. I like a lot of 80's songs because that what my mom and one of my aunts enjoyed (my dad couldn't care less unless it was Christian music) and if I'm riding in my grandpa's car, he has his 60's satellite station on, and I've come to like some of those songs too.
I don't think I know how to make good lore art. Seth (and probably others) seriously deserves to have better lore art.
Oh yeah, leave it to Youtube to remind me that I still need to do some music video sessions.
