i will never perceive your light
even if my remains are the same as i was once born
even if my hollow bones are crushed with all your might
my sun will never mourne me.
throughout all spacetime,
the comfort of every burning mass of energy reaching us
watching us
will never be the same
remember our first breath in nothing.
my undying flower, won't you join me?
your fate is sealed for eternity
abstract thought isn't fit for someone as beautiful as you
I can hear it in your veins
something that isn't blood is rushing to meet my gaze
you've lost all humanity left inside of you
now correct me if I'm wrong but,
aren't I your last chance?
surely you know of this fact
your wings beating wind against my fragile stem
will only break what little immortality I possess
if you were the one to pick me, however
I may live forever in your debt
"You're pretty similar to me appearance wise, isn't that a neat coincidence? Come here darling- oh. I'm sorry, is it alright to call you that? Anyways. I'd love to inspect your wings at a closer distance... Is it painful?"
Seldom... he's really nice... I can't fit in his library easily, but I like being there... people don't look at me there...
I like him... and his mask.
Do you think he'll tell me where he got it....?
"Gotta admit, I was kinda wary o' the fella at first. Just a tad put off by how hard t' read he is... unlike those books in his collection. I reckon he has his own reasons though, 'n he's pleasant enough company when I rarely have the time to stop by." He lets out a sigh as he thinks about his mortal charge, who practically leaves him little to no time for relaxation. "It's hard t' dislike someone who appreciates the good ol' classic paper books, let alone one who's so dedicated to 'em."
You have never tasted the heavenly light.. Ah, how sad. I wish the best for you and your library endeavors.
"I often find myself dreaming of flight on pure wings that are unable to rot. What was it like? Human novels grant me imagination to move past the discrimination I face but they can't replace the real experience."
"You're very... Spontaneous. When Little One walks into the library at same time as yourself I feel like I have to hide my delicate trinkets and proof the place otherwise something might break with you two around. And while I don't know too much about human technology works, I have heard of a gigantic world of information that humans possess. Show it to me sometime?"
"I shouldn't mind you resting in a safe place but... There's so much human knowledge you may be missing out on! I'll help you find something to read next time. There's a next time correct? And might I recommend the stories inside of the Necronomicon?"
VERY POSITIVE
"Seldom! I come by his library every so often. Not really to read, but to nap. It's quiet there and I love it! I've read some books that are pretty good, written by humans! He's not as scary as people say either. On the contrary, I think he made me view humans in a better perspective, and that's something coming from me! I'm just happy to be around him~"
"I see you've stopped by again Little One. I may have been occupied at that moment but don't think I did not see your abundant collection of human supply (crayon) slowly deplete over the course of the hour. And where are you even finding these insects??"
"🎭📚❗️ 🚫🐛✅️❓️😮💨"
-Calls me "Little One"
-I like to think Seldom is a real good friend of mine, even if he (allegedly) doesn't like all the bugs I find for him. The next person I catch saying mean things to him is getting a bug in their hair I swear… I wish he didn’t feel like he needs to hide his face all the time, but I guess I’m not one to talk huh? Either way, it’s always nice to know I can find a place to curl up and relax when I need it with him.
His library is almost like.... a safe space. It's free of judgment, it's peaceful, and quite quiet.
I enjoy being there, no matter what I'm doing.
I can tell Seldom is a bit... lonely. And given I enjoy the library, I do also frequent to assure that he isn't always alone.
"I'll have some rowdy visitors sometimes but I'll always keep the place calm for you. I mean- for everyone that visits of course. The piano needs dusting again. If you help me out I'll treat you to human sheet music I found being thrown out recently. The way you play ... captivates me. The real sound is ultimately better live, after all."
