Daydreams/Nightmares

Daydreams and Nightmares

Daydreams and nightmares are male and female dreams respectively, with tiny equine-like bodies that have thick manes and tails composed of feathers and daydreams or nightmares as according to their type. Neither of them tire as they live off dreams; so long as there are sleepers, they will survive. Daydreams and nightmares mate for life, but can only meet during the dawn and dusk twice a year: once on the winter solstice, when the nightmares have more power and once on the summer solstice, when the daydreams have more power. When they mate, nightmares produce a single foal. The offspring between them are known as limbos, which are blind equine-like beings in a state before dreaming occurs. Unique to limbos, they have wings that disappear during their transition to adulthood. They are a dead species. Breeding rights are listed here.
