Ceciel's really lucky to have him as a dad, he makes the best food. Whenever he stops by the farm it's always exciting, because he doesn't just bring the mail, he brings some experimental batch of cookies as well!
She's a good friend to Ceciel, and I also appreciate that she doesn't make fun of my lack of knowledge about farming to my face. Welcome to stay over for dinner whenever she feels like it.
He means well, but none of the food he brings to the library during my shift has any business going near books, and I can't really gain sustenance from any of it. I always make sure to eat it quickly so there's no risk of it staining the pages.
Poor girl, she's just made some poor life choices (who hasn't?), and now she can't even afford a decent meal. I can't very well invite her over to dinner because of how Ceciel and Izan feel about her, so I bring the dinner over to her instead! She seems to really enjoy my extra-rare steak dinner in particualr.
His jokes are really stupid at times, but other than that, he's a great dad. I appreciate how honest he is, I never catch him lying to me. How he can manage to deliver everyone's mail without wanting to know what's inside it is beyond me, he must hold so many secrets every day.
Of course she's great, she's my daughter! Almost nothing escapes her notice, which has caused some awkward situations with the neighbors on occasion, but that's on them for cheating on each other. I kind of like that she found out about their affairs, I'd been dying to know who was sending those rose-scented letters all the time.
It was love at first sight - he's funny, good-looking, not afraid to take risks to follow his dreams, and an amazing cook. Then when I got to know him better, he also turned out to just be one of the nicest people I've ever met. How did my attempts at getting his attention even work? I'm not complaining!
Asking him to marry me was one of the best decisions I ever made. When we first met, I mostly just liked him because 'flirting awkwardly through card-tricks' was a refreshing change of pace compared to most townsfolks' habit of implying that I never should have left the city, but as we got to know each other better I loved him more and more. What we have in common is that we both like to use the things we enjoy to make people happy, even if we're earning a living in some other way.
Pretty sure he doesn't like me, as he's never once offered to show me a magic trick. Is it because he's Ceciel's dad? It probably is.
I hate that I spent years trying to convince children that reading is fun, and then when this new librarian comes along and recommends them novels that are just a little bit too advanced for them, suddenly the average reading level in my class goes up? It's extremely petty, so if anyone notices that I'm not too fond of her, I'll just say that I frown upon the many crimes she's committed during her unlife.
Always tried to be on my best behavior around him in school because he's Ceciel's dad. I was surprised how strict he was as a teacher because before that point, I knew him as the cool dad who once pulled multicoloured ribbons out of his nose at the dinner table and passed them out as napkins. It was awesome!
One of Ceciel's friends, who used to come by more often before she started her apprenticeship. I'm sure she will become a great carpenter. The other teachers say she was a bit of a troublemaker, but I never noticed any of that from her when she was in my class.
A good dad, not too strict as long as I do well in school and encourages me in everything I do. I'm really glad he was only my teacher for one year, though. Having one of your parents lecture you in the classroom is not fun!
My daughter! She's growing up to be smart and courageous, I'm so proud of her for solving all those mysteries. Now if only she would finish her homework before sneaking out to be a detective...

[A mechanic, not a robot computer engineer. I liked talking to them.]
A marvel of engineering. It moves much more quietly than other similar machinery and its robot hand is so precise that it can even pick locks. I still don't know how these programmers keep 'accidentally' giving their robots free will, but at least this time the intelligence they created is happy and friendly, and its insistence on emoji as its method of communication was clearly useful in diplomacy with the aliens, so as far as I'm concerned, there's nothing to fix here.

[I don't know him, but I like his shirt]
APIE is one of the must-see attractions of Earth: an artificial Earthling lifeform who talks entirely in emoji, including many emoji that are not part of the standard galactic alphabet! I'd like to meet it someday, but you have to reserve a spot in advance and the waiting lists are long.
Did a better job fixing my bike than half of the mechanics I've been to who had actual tools and knowledge of post-Faster-Than-Light physics. It actually kept working for longer than a day and has a cool retropunk aesthetic now! I gave them 10 out of 10 stars on GalaxyMaps.
Nowadays it's quite refreshing for someone to hire me to repair their vehicle instead of to give it therapy. The money he paid with can't be spent anywhere on Earth, but I let that slide because I'm pretty sure the 'free samples from his company' he gave me are made of materials that don't even exist here. Plus I got to tinker with an alien hoverbike! How cool is that?
I discovered that she was the vampire sneaking into peoples' stables to drink from their livestock and got her in trouble for it this one time, and now she lectures me whenever I'm late in bringing back a library book. It's a bit awkward.
This meddling kid is the reason why everyone in town knows I'm a vampire, but for some reason nobody minded too much, and I even got a job out of it in the end? I'm not sure how to feel about her.
She kinda snuck into our stables and drank our cows' blood without permission, but it's okay, she's done community service for the crime and I forgive her. Her book recommendations are great!
When she learned I was a vampire and that I'd been sneaking into her parents' farm to drink from their livestock, she offered to build me a nice, comfy coffin. I thought it was a threat but then I realized she meant it literally. Like, as a bed. I had to politely decline.
Ceciel is a good friend, but not every 'mystery' needs to be investigated. Sure, that old abandoned mansion is 'spooky' and 'recently started making groaning noises', but maybe the new monster that's squatting in there is just too shy to greet the neighbors!
Kalina is a good friend, but she really ought to be a bit more curious about all the weird things going on around here. No matter how convenient it is, your tools don't usually start floating into your hands on their own accord!
