Older OCs
Most of these characters are very old with not a lot changed since I was younger or otherwise not especially used currently, and I both really love them and am also very self-conscious of them, so please go easy on me haha. I'm torn on whether to try using them in forum games or not, since I only have a few characters really aside from them (aka Caelestis and Samir), but I'm sort of embarrassed at the idea of people actually seeing and interacting with them at the same time?? I'm also very aware of how odd/unfitting some of their names are akjhskhgks, and still can't bring myself to rename most of them, which is probably part of the problem too. Might use one or two on occasion anyway, but yeah.
(FYI, this place is very old and was mostly focused on being as self-indulgent as possible since it comforted me for a while, so go easy on me here also if you can.)
Yutopia is a world in the realm of fiction (a middle plane more real than the name may imply, only more subtle and flexible than the ones below) but with residents that are able to visit the material realm with ease. However, while that is the case, they cannot simply bring their magic and wonders with them, and instead turn into either humans or normal animals (depending on what they were in Yutopia) when crossing to the other realm. Caelestis created the world with the assistance of Sozo, who was to look after the realm afterwards. While created more as a test of power than anything, it ended up quite elaborately made to be as much of a paradise as possible. The incovenient, excessively unpleasant aspects of life were tossed away, and the more interesting ones allowed to remain.
While the residents can freely enter and leave the material realm, they cannot so easily stay for a long period of time. Their auras conflict with that of the material plane's. It isn't all that noticeable at first, but the longer they reside there, the harder a time they have functioning, gradually sinking into a deep despair.
The good old material realm. Also commonly referred to as the human world by Yutopians. Technically the name is referring to plane beyond just the planet of Earth, but most typically people are referring to that either way. Don't mind the details.
Few Yutopians choose the harsh life of earth, and even fewer are able to live there for long, due to the conflicting auras. There is still always the occasional unfortunate soul who accidentally winds up there without any way back, forgotten by the world. These people are eventually overwhelmed by the harshness of life, their minds simply unable to handle it. The only Yutopians potentially able to live the material realm with ease are ones born in the sub-realm of Lapis, and even then, the condition is still uncommon.
