setting/theme: tolkien/high fantasy, slice of life

a couple of fantasy characters try to make a living, and an emo boy ruins his own day

world is tentatively just named fairytopia because I don't have ideas LMAO

[magic details] residents of fairytopia do not yield magical powers, moreso supernatural abilities instead (flying being a common one, as the name of the land suggests). potions, spells and enchanted trinkets are also used here. this realm actually runs alongside a “modern” world where magic is less common and technology is more mainstream. few in the mundane world know about the fairy realm as it is mostly limited to the knowledge of magic users, while those in the fairy realm generally have a vague idea of the alternate dimension but prefers to stay in their own world.

the “main lands”; featuring a mixture of ornate and simple architecture, this is where most residents work and live. there are several castles built on gentle hills, and small towns that usually circle around them. the castles are pretty to look at but the towns are where most of the fun is! the area isn’t completely free of crime, but it’s decently safe overall. herse lives here though he basically has travelled everywhere around the realm.

the forest; not a lot of people inhabit this area due to potential dangers and scary giant plants (?!) - you really have to know your foraging to get around here outside of the main roads. foxglove lives here because of course he does, although he regularly travels to the main lands even though it’s a very far walk???

the outskirts; located past the woods is a vast field filled with greenery and wild plants. this is essentially the countryside, and many farms and barns are located here. petteri lives here as a stable hand.
