What I look for in designs
I generally go for designs that I think are clever and wouldn't have thought to make. I get stuck in the habit of making samey characters so it is refreshing to get characters where - even if the design is similar in idea to what I already have - it is a different spin that I wouldn't have thought to do.
Clothes and fashion
If all my characters can't have accessories and fun fashion styles then I will make it so they can. I love characters that have fashion or fashionable pieces to them that can be extrapolated and built out into entire wardrobes. This is one of the most important things for me as it is the most fun for me :)
Nephfei
I love nephians, so they are an exception to many of the exclusionary rules. I am picky about them but they are all a lot of fun!
