Good choice with that! I never knew about the original Paper Mario growing up (partially since I didn't have a N64), but I'm mostly familiar with it nowadays so I could tell you were inspired by it.

HAH i get you! I grew up with an N64 from my aunt, but only ever had zelda oot! My first game and mario rpg was superstar saga and my first paper mario game was Super for the Wii! I ended up backtracking to the previous games and when I got Paper Mario 64 for the wiiu virtual console... WELL!! I DONT KNOW WHY IT STUCK WITH ME SO WELL!!! BUT!!! ( all very positive )
I FORGOT my console spirits were all under lock and key! I think Gameboy, Gamecube and Scorpion are up on AF unless I hid them in trying to figure out this years roster - but if they are I'll unhide them and auth you! Meant to respond sooner, but I wanted to say that I appreciate you being open about sharing! My first (non-educational) game was the PC port of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I have actually owned TTYD as a kid, and it was only far later when I realized the original Paper Mario was a game. I played a decent chunk of it over on the Wii virtual collection (or whatever it's called) but never quite completed it.
Anyways, I also did want to ask if you were accepting commissions? I can't order one right now but I'd definitely be interested in one at some point if you're willing.
