TW for death

One of my hamsters, Fred passed away today. We don't really know, he started acting really weird toward the end, like twitching and only being able to walk in circles and screeching in pain. We werent able to take him to the vet yet so I gave him some pain meds and he was able to fall asleep, I was just petting him and he went away in his sleep, so at least it was painless.

We think it was a stroke or a brainbleed, maybe a brain tumour, since he was almost 2 and dwarf hamsters usually get to 2.

But Ted is okay, he's really sad and not really eating though.

I knew it would be painful when they pass so young but I wasn't fully prepared especially when it seemed so painful until we got him the pain meds. I'm glad he just went to sleep though as horrible as it sounds

Rest in peace my baby, I love you forever. His favorite food was cucumber, he loved to sit on shoulders, he had the softest most beautiful coat
