My girlfriend’s parents are extremely, extremely abusive. Extremely abusive. She is 17, I am 19, and her father is incredibly volatile. Today, he made me fear for her safety, and threatened to call the police on me if I tried to take her anywhere. He also said that if I ever show up on his property again, he will have me charged with trespassing. I ended up having to call the police on him, and they ofc did nothing.

I want to move her out of the house as soon as she graduates highschool (she’s 18 in January), but I’m going back to college in January and my income and savings will be limited. Idk if this isn’t already obvious but to anyone new finding my account I am NOT Fishstick/Bride (obviously), I don’t associate with that fucko, my usernames were previously Irisky and then Forrestt! I use the name Anakin because I am him, not bc I’m a cowardly adult trying to hide from the consequences of my sick actions

So. I’m not doing this because anyone has like…come out and said anything against me—I just feel very guilty, and I want to clear some things up. I know some previous followers knew me from when I first created the Starsharks species (now called Selachiials, world link here: https://toyhou.se/~world/58889.selachiial-galaxy).

First and foremost, I want to thank the Selachiial staff, especially the ones now running the species. I never really manned up and acknowledged that I was leaving, which was very immature of me. I wanted to avoid backlash, and it was a very selfish thing to do. I’m genuinely really excited to see where the species goes, and I’ll be watching it, maybe even rejoining the discord if I feel up to being active/am allowed to. I’m incredibly proud of what it’s become, and the passion and time that the staff have put into it.

I do want to move on to the real things I wanted to address. I know some of the Selachiial mods are still subscribed to me, so I request that you spread this bulletin around as best you can.

Firstly, unfair banning in the server. My memory is extremely hazy, I apologize (I have a dissociative disorder which causes that) but I do remember banning at least one if not two individuals who genuinely didn’t deserve it. I can’t remember my logic at the time, but I know I’d never run a closed species before, and was unsure of the right choices to make. I’m truly sorry for this.

The moderation team situation was also fairly shaky. I allowed some people onto the team who genuinely shouldn’t have been there. I should have removed them sooner. I won’t name names for the others but I’m specifically referring to Foxdog2, who I have completely detached myself from. I made the mistake of assuming that they’d be a mature adult, when in reality, they made some of the minors in the server feel unsafe. I kept them on because I thought they could get the species recognition with their adopts, and that was incredibly wrong of me. I should have listened to everyone involved instead of blindly agreeing with them, and that’s a mistake I promise I won’t make again.

The biggest thing I wanted to bring up was an NSFW (16+ I believe) channel in the server that should absolutely not have been there. If I remember correctly, Foxdog suggested it (I could be entirely wrong but that’s what I remember) but I *never* should have allowed it in a server full of minors. That was entirely my responsibility. I myself was a minor at the time, and this never should have been allowed.

Even still, I take full responsibility for my actions. There are no excuses. I have no plans to create another closed species or have a discord server. If I do, it will be small, and entirely sfw. I deeply apologize to anyone that I’ve hurt or has been affected by me in the past or present, and I hope you can forgive me.

Edit: I am nothing if not a perfectionist! I forgot some other things I wanted to bring up. There was something right at the beginning of the species where you could draw one of the mascots to receive art; I don’t think I ever…reciprocated? Like fulfilled my end of the trade, and that was just a shitty thing to do. Idk I just really wanted to own up to and acknowledge some of the mistakes I made. I don’t want them to be something that comes up later, and I want to apologize for them now rather than have it just seem like I’m trying to keep my audience. I was nearly an adult and should have known better on all fronts. I played favorites and was unfair to some users while allowing myself to be manipulated by others. I’m just really genuinely sorry, and regret many if not most of the choices I made while in ownership of the server. I’m especially sorry to the people who I let down who considered me to be a friend.
