Story normally places little trust in the people around him, but he finds the Traveler easy to talk to and confide in somehow. He's grateful to the Traveler for believing his stories about his life (not to mention hanging on every word), and thought he was a lovely addition to the orphanage, hoping he'll return soon.
The Traveler finds Story extremely interesting, what with his quiet demeanor, insight and his amazing tales about his home planet. He hopes they'll meet again one day so he can hear more!
Titian has learned a lot from helping and spending time with Lacine, and they have assisted him in growing more thoughtful and better with decision making as a person. He finds them adorable, while still admiring their strength in character and strong personal drive; he adores and loves them deeply as a partner and friend.
Lacine feels a balance through being around Titian, as he has helped them to become less reclusive and more self accepting, outgoing and confident. They love his own confidence in himself and his work, and more covertly rather admires him for it. They love him as a partner and a friend, and are extremely grateful to have met him.
Hikari is always trying to support Tomomi through his mental struggles, and promises to be there for him no matter what. She loves how gentle he is, and that she can always count on him to be a listening ear and support for her. His creative eye is also a big help in her creations and style; she adores collaborating with him and going to him for advice.
Tomomi reveres Hikari as a partner and idol, and strives to protecting and love her with all his heart. She cheers him up on his bad days just to be around, and he finds her cheerful and generous attitude a lovely presence in his life. Everything she contributes to his ideas, creations and work is a joy to him, and he depends on her greatly as a source of comfort and companionship.
For her entire life, Amia was conflicted about Harold. First she loved him, then he became her jailor, then she murdered him and was left in the dust with nothing. She struggles with clashing emotions of guilt and satisfaction, love and despair. In the end though, she's sure that if she was forced to see him again she would not hesitate to kill him once more. However, in her much later years she would be able to come to better terms with her trauma and move on from her thoughts about him.
Harold never truly had any love in his heart for Amia, even though she is his daughter. He told her so in order to manipulate her, and in truth sees her as only one thing: a subject. He puts extreme value in what she contributes to his project, and is perfectly willing to torture her in order to extract it. In a way he almost sees it as vengeance; he believes Amia is the reason his only love was taken away.

Amvira can and would be a "big sis" / even an adopted parent for Nix. After the events of her story, with all her friends getting families and settling down, Amvira would start thinking she'd want a family of her own. Being aro/ace, she wouldn't be planning on getting married, so adopting is exactly what she'd do (assuming this is before story's return to space).
That said, I feel like Amvira would have a hard time getting Story to open up to her. She may be somewhat empathic, but she's blunt and has almost no experience raising a kid (she probably thought raising an older kid would be easier!). She might even get really frustrated with him at times! But, since this is after the events of her story she wouldn't be an ass to him, or get angry. If anything, she'd just be a bit mad at herself.
That said, once the supernatural stuff starts happening in Story's life, Amvira would be right there, ready to fight alongside him and defend him. She's practically omnipotent by this point, so she wouldn't let anything harm him!
(non-canon) Story would definitely be... put off, to say the least, at first by Amvira. He has trouble getting along with people as it is, and they're complete and total opposites. She's tall, loud, lazy, and overall definitely a bit intimidating to him. However, I think if given plenty of time and patience he would eventually get over the fact that his new mom is an antagonistic demon, and perhaps start looking for more of the good traits in her. He would definitely appreciate the protection and loyalty she would provide, and might even try his best to be a voice of reason and a comfort to her. If she were there at the time he was taken to Pluto I think he would appreciate it greatly, since in the devastation of the planet she would be a source of familiarity and protection.
Even though Amia has a tendency to get in Evangeline's personal space a bit, she loves her company a lot and finds they share similar outlooks and opinions on a lot of things. It took ages for her to trust that Eva's kindness was genuine, but since giving her that trust she's loved talking to her, seeing her outfits, and the feeling that there is someone guaranteed to love her no matter what. Eva is also the only person whom she allows to touch her hair. She isn't sure why; something about the girl's touch is just calming to her.
Evangeline was at first very confused by Amia - never sure if she was happy or upset, friendly or asocial, wanting her around or wanting her gone. But eventually Amia opened up about her paranoia, and Eva knew what was wrong. After becoming much closer, she finds Amy quite entertaining, even if she's not always ready to respond to her strings of word salad. Being around her cheers her up, and her dynamic personality is inspiring to Eva in a way. She enjoys brainstorming alongside her, and tends to get very protective of her when she gets into trouble.
Jacquelyn was the first true friend Amia would make after recovering at the ICS. At first she really didn't know what she thought of their company - quiet, anxious, didn't seem to care about anything she liked or thought mattered. However, once they put the effort into compromising and understanding each other, she grew to absolutely love them. She enjoys unloading all her ramblings on them, finds their presence quite calming, and thinks all their little quirks rather adorable. She does her best to be gentle with them, while also being the first to steer them on the right path whenever their flaws are slowing them down. She'll fiercely defend them from anyone who makes fun of their sensitivity or appearance, and loves them deeply from the bottom of her heart.
Jackie can remember being a little terrified of Amia when they first met. She seemed like such a conflicting person, with so much energy it felt intimidating, yet such a disconcerting way of dropping all speech and movement around new people (including them at first). Yet after they found it within themselves to drop some defenses and get out of their comfort zone, they found Amia was much more than she seemed. They now rather enjoy hearing her constant chatter and seeing her giddy smiles, even when their priorities don't necessarily line up. Amia has become a loyal companion, source of wisdom and source of energy to them, and they wouldn't give up her presence in their life for anything in the world.
Madalaine feels very much like a little sister to Story. She was the first person to ever approach him properly when he arrived, and after becoming close he's come to feel very protective and loving about her. She may tire him sometimes, and he may have hurt her without meaning to at others, but he truthfully can't imagine himself without her by now.
Madalaine reveres Story like an older brother, and is very very attached to him. He's one of the few who have ever truly called her a friend, and just being around him makes her very happy. She tends to be very physically and emotionally clingy with him, but he seems to tolerate it well. Even though she finds Story very strange at times and doesn't always have any idea what he's talking about or why he's having a breakdown, she remains his extremely loyal and loving little shadow.
