Voyager found Leech in a quarantined city filled with strange, mutated people. When Leech escaped as a direct result of Voyager's presence in the area, they decided it was their responsibility and took it in for at least a little while.
Now, after at least a year together, Voyager is almost like a parent to Leech and has come to care greatly for it's well-being.
Raising a child with such specific and special needs comes with challenges, but Voyager has always accepted them wholeheartedly and is honestly unaware that raising Leech is significantly different in any way from raising any other child.
In their original universe, Milt leaves home to move with Skip, and without telling their mother ahead of time. They are extremely grateful to him for allowing them to move, but are somewhat regretful of what they made him leave behind.
Milt looks up to Skip, but is not terribly conscious of the somewhat parental role he has in their relationship.
The two get along extremely well, and Milt feels lucky to have a friend like Skip.
Milt is Skip's closest friend, despite their age difference, and in nearly all universes he is responsible for removing them from their abusive home life. In his original universe, he leaves behind his friends and life to move both his infant sister and Milt far away.
He is both a friend, and a bit of a parent figure to Milt. The two are very close, and Drew has great respect for Milt's opinions.
Harrison is 6 years older than his sister, Millie. He was extremely unsure when she was born, but begrudgingly began to love her. He still genuinely cares about her and is the only person who knows about her gift- not even she knows she has one. Harrison regrets not doing something that would have helped her and not just him, but he buries those feelings very deeply, and refuses to even acknowledge them.
He actively avoids reaching out to her and currently has no intention to reconcile or reunite.
Millie has always looked up to her brother and was extremely distressed when he ran away from home. She's not sure if he's alive, but greatly hopes so. She watched their parents abuse him throughout their childhood together, and doesn't blame him for choosing to leave. She only wishes him health and happiness.
