Working on a new project here on Toyhouse as I take my first foray into DMing a DnD campaign for my husband and I. A duet, if you will.

Here's what I plan to use this site's features to create for more player immersion:

I've got my Adoption Zone page up, where I plan to release a series of 4 themed adoptables, hopefully once a month as long as that doesn't overwhelm me. Sometimes these adoptable characters may be related to a world or species (starting with Reath and Reath kinds probably) but often they will be one-off characters that buyers can incorporate as they wish.

Setting up, immersing myself in code and making this Toyhou.se page my own has been a deeply needed self care exercise I didn't know I needed. Though I forgot how to sit properly and now I've got a wicked kink in my neck. Oof

I don't even know what I want to say here. Not just here, but the internet in general. I feel like I was asleep for 10 years and just now woke up into a totally different web of walled gardens and closed cliques. But I wasn't asleep, I was working a dead end job that almost killed me. Now everything rings similar in the digital art world, but it feels empty and monetized and I don't get what people are even purchasing? I need a young friend to help my elder brain understand.

Okay, I'm gonna add in some more characters tonight and then back to working on my world info. My hope is that if I get it all out of my head and into some semblance of reality then one of my life goals will be completed. And we love to complete goals.

I'm really interested in putting out some adoptable characters in the near future, but I am both over-ambitious and clueless in how to go about it. Also... I don't really know anyone in this scene and I feel really awkward. I used to do a bit of pet breeding and RPing over on Gaia back in the day though I lost contact with the few people who might recognize my name. Hmmm... are there even any eyeballs seeing this post?
