CTHALIA
【FANTASY】【16+】
"EVERY STORY NEEDS AN ENDING. wHETHER OR NOT IT'S A HAPPY ONE IS UP TO THE AUTHOR."
Being sucked into a living story would be disconcerting for anyone, not to mention an aspiring writer of realistic fiction!
Alice Kentala has been coming up with story ideas for years, but has never been able to finish a single one of them. Creating an ending just doesn't seem to be something she can do. However, an ethereal encounter with a magic notebook may force her to confront her anxiety once and for all. From deadly forests to militaristic countries of candy, what will the fantastical wonderland of Cthalia have in store for our young Author?
CTHALIA'S THREE FACTIONS
The land of Cthalia is divided into three main factions, as well as areas of unclaimed territory that are shrinking by the day.
SACCHARINE EMPIRE
Don't be deceived by the first of Cthalia's three countries.
When you lay eyes on the Saccharine Empire, you'll immediately take note of the contrast before your eyes. Brightly colored candy buildings and roads will look nothing if not unnatural when paired with an arsenal of modernized weaponry. All around you will be candy soldiers without heart or mind, each one exactly the same as the last. At the heart of this dictatorship, a ruthless empress prepares for a war only she desires, and will let nothing stand in her way of achieving true control over this divided land.
Watch your back, before it ends up pumped full of lead.
ASHHALLOW FOREST
Be wary of your footing when exploring the woodland sections of Cthalia.
At first entry, Ashhallow may seem like just another forest, but as you trek deeper into the woods you'll find a number of things begin to feel off. The trees will suddenly become far taller than usual, stretching up as far as your eye can see. A light coat of mist will drift along the darkened ground. Odd messages will be carved into the trees in languages unknown. And to top it all off, everything will go silent. It's simple to find your way into the forested faction, but once you enter, there's no guarantee you'll make it out without the wizard's permission.
Watch your back, before it becomes tangled in vines.
COALMOORE
Although Coalmoore may be a defense-oriented faction, that doesn't mean it can be considered a safe haven in the least.
If the thick steel walls surrounding the city weren't enough to drive you away, you'll soon find that the clockwork country isn't too keen on outsiders... especially if they're organic beings. The city's resident body consists of automata of all shapes and sizes, and sticks to a very fixed schedule concerning what time of day you can do certain things, and what time you can't. To top it all off, the city's head seems to have no regard for anything living; if you weren't built to live in his city, it's highly unlikely he'll care enough to let you inside.
Watch your back, before your organic body makes you a complete outcast.

The native language of Ashhallow Forest, spoken by practically every resident. Ashhallow is the only faction of Cthalia that possesses its own language, though most residents (specifically Shinrin and the fairies) can speak English as well. If you listen close, Ash Tongue seems to sound suspiciously similar to Japanese...
