In the midst of a crisis in the kingdom over the disappearance of the Oracle, his childhood friend, a smalltown hero, is summoned to find him. Along the way they pick up all sorts of quishy mage types to join their party and find that perhaps everything isn't quite as straightforward as they thought. Maybe they'll save the day, and even find love along the way.
A hero looking for their childhood friend. They're laidback and friendly and generally easy to get along with. Gender and appearance can be changed.
An extremely powerful mage employed by the kingdom. He's very proud of this fact and tends to be a little insufferable.
A priestess well-known for her abilities in her small town. Despite her outward kindness she's deeply cynical and often mean.
The famous oracle, currently missing from the kingdom. He's an adventurous type, and more masculine than his appearance might suggest.
The necromancer who "kidnapped" Lyr. They're intimidating but anxious around other humans and prefer to be left alone.
