most of you probably know my kitty william meowfton has been sick since the start of the year, i want to thank everyone who commissioned me as a means to fund her medical expenses
making this bulletin mostly because a lot of people until now would dm me to ask about her condition, which. i appreciate the sentiment, but it wasnt really something i wanted to talk about 24/7, or with strangers. if youre one of those people, dont feel bad but just. its not something i wish to talk about at this time. im making this public as a means to not repeat myself

UPDATE: reached the goal!! he wont be dying on the streets like a rat 🎉🎉 now ill go to sleep as its current 12:30am and im fucking exhausted from the situation, but ill make sure to properly reply to any leftover comm inquiries in the morning!! :o]

my friend is risking to go homeless because he cant afford rent, doing comms in an effort to help him. we have less than 24 hours to gather at least 150usd.Â

thnx for the overwhelming support overall :'] we took her to the vet and for the most part shes a-okay. she got prescribed meds to help w the infection and we were given instructions on how to properly sanitize her wounds and overall take care of her, we were already disinfecting them and the vet said we did a great job.
what most likely happened, according to the vet, was that some kids threw fire crackers at her. something thats sadly common and happens a lot to pets around this time of year. theres signs of hearing loss (smth i also noticed) that confirm this. she also most likely got into a fight with an older cat since theres distinct claw marks on her.
im sad that i wasnt able to prevent all this, i really wish i could just go back in time and make sure she never had to go through all that. but i know sulking wont really help her in all of this so id rather focus on taking care of her instead.

img description in case you cant look at it: the right side of her face and her neck are swollen, her right eye is clouded up, shes missing the fur on her neck, her chin has gashes that are leaking blood.
if we talk semi regularly you probably know that on new years eve, my kitty william meowfton was spooked by fireworks + the guests at our house so she ran off. i did take precautions to make sure this didnt happen to any of my pets, (closing them in a relatively noise isolated room, closing off all the gates on our property which is walled off). however i wasnt careful enough and one of the guests ended up accidentally freeing them, william meowfton was the only one who ran away though.
i had honestly been kicking myself about it for the past week, i felt and still feel like an awful pet owner for failing to protect her. but this morning a neighbour spotted her under his car trying to take cover from the rain, shes safely home for now and thats all that matters, but as you can see from the pics, shes not in the best condition.
 vets are closed today as its sunday (we have looked for open ones online but theyre too far away for us to consider them a viable option), but ive shown pics to our local vet and we can take her in first thing in the morning. the examination will be free but any medicine she needs to take wont be. for now were disinfecting her wounds and making sure shes warm and fed. she hasnt left my side since she came back home and keeps asking for pets and cuddles so im just trying to be there for her, shes sleeping on my lap and purring as im typing this.
funds are not exactly urgent, as i do have emergency money saved up for occasions like this, but i dont know how pricy everything will be and i dont want to be left with no emergency funds. but if you wish to help william meowftons recovery, i have commissions and characters for sale.
