thnx for the overwhelming support overall :'] we took her to the vet and for the most part shes a-okay. she got prescribed meds to help w the infection and we were given instructions on how to properly sanitize her wounds and overall take care of her, we were already disinfecting them and the vet said we did a great job.
what most likely happened, according to the vet, was that some kids threw fire crackers at her. something thats sadly common and happens a lot to pets around this time of year. theres signs of hearing loss (smth i also noticed) that confirm this. she also most likely got into a fight with an older cat since theres distinct claw marks on her.
im sad that i wasnt able to prevent all this, i really wish i could just go back in time and make sure she never had to go through all that. but i know sulking wont really help her in all of this so id rather focus on taking care of her instead.

Firecrackers at a kitten!? I honestly had no idea that was even a thing! What a disgusting thing for people to do!
Though I'm at least happy to hear your fur baby is somewhat ok now. Gentle kisses upon her head for a good rest of recovery for her. From someone who's had an injured cat before, I send all healing wishes!

I would think it would be an american thing to with our 4 of July? But I only lived in a decent sized city for about 2ish years. So I really haven't a clue? But of course, I gotta support somehow. I plan on paying the 2nd half of those comm's next week.

no need to apologise man this is pretty important stuff, im so glad your cat mostly alright 😭 its so extremely cruel that people could through firecrackers at your cat but im glad at least that you have antibiotics for her infection now . hoping she has a speedy recovery man this situation is awful

An idiot that I was in school with, when I was in highschool in 11th grade, the guy was throwing fire chrackers in the train. Abd I was in the same car with him.
God I wish to strangle the kids doing this to your cat but also to animals in general. This is so NOT fun.
