Scars, descriptions of death, emotional turmoil
Hope and Thorfin had a long day, tracking and fighting a wicked, clawed creature that ultimately escaped. Hope was badly wounded because Thorfin hesitated to destroy the creature when given the chance because it seemed to want to stop fighting, but he was wrong. She was healed, but Thorfin struggles with his failure. This is the aftermath.
Violence, abuse, character death
Hope has died three times: once to the wicked axe of her old abuser Harxag, once to the claw of her world’s version of Donaar’s dragon mother, and once in her final battle with the night hag Granny Dorothea. She vows never to die again, not even in the final showdown with their greatest enemy Vuzun.
Hope is a goblin in the Killbone tribe. Her brothers love and depend on her, but she knows that it is not sustainable. After a few impactful events, Hope has to decide what path is right for her.
