Witches are slowly being depleted around the world. They are becoming more uncommon and no one can figure out why. A dark presence lurks around every corner. The protagonist, Marissa, an average college student, is suddenly thrown into magical world and is destined to protect the witch lineage.

The setting takes place mostly on the East Coast of the United States and parts of Europe. Many of the witches originate from different parts of the world depending on their powers. The high witches gather once a year to discuss magic properties and the witch population.
