"Wields light, but she seems not to be one of Godiva's angels, just a young immortal who's settled too close to my domain."
Friend, classmate, and coworker. They share a psychology class, and Spencer trusts his judgement, so he was the one who asked Vash if he knew of any good psych internships. It wasn't until he'd *already* gotten the job that he realized he probably should have specified that he meant psychology internships. In order to avoid tanking Vash's reputation at the Motherlobe, he's conveniently "forgotten" to mention that he isn't psychic to anybody.
Classmate, coworker, and friend. They’re in the same psychology class, so they study together a lot. Vash was actually the one to reccommend taking a Motherlobe internship to Spencer- he had zero clue he wasn’t psychic until it came up casually in conversation two weeks after he got the job. Spencer just… struck him as a spoonbender, he guesses. He now believes it’s his responsibility to make sure nobody else in the Motherlobe finds out about Spencer’s lack of powers.
Camper. Vash is entirely correct to be worried about them starting a forest fire. They're plotting. However, despite their penchant for mischief, Fina thinks Vash is cool.
Counselor. He is so worried they’re going to start a forest fire the moment he looks away. Otherwise, they’re a pleasure to have at camp and Vash is incredibly proud of their improvement!
Acquaintances. He uh... didn't learn about cryogenics in any of his psych classes. He thinks she's a good kid but he's still wondering in the back of his head how she is walking around with chunks of ice in her brain. He tries not to say anything about it.
Acquaintances. He’s nice, but they shared a really awkward silence the first time she explained the current state of her brain to him and Vic feels kinda bad about it.
Friends. Lazarus feels incredibly close with Vic, treating her almost like a little sister. She knows what it's like to be treated as a lab experiment, especially at a tragically young age. Lazarus is very aware that the agents in charge of Vic's case are wary of her, but she'll be damned if she lets the Psychonauts handle Vic with the same "Precautionary Measures" (read: treating her as a liability more than anything) as they did with when Lazarus was under their care.
Friends. Everyone seems afraid of Lazarus, but Vic doesn’t really see why. She feels a strong kinship with her, as a fellow victim of anti-psychic persecution and illegal experimentation, and sometimes catches herself thinking of her like an older sister. (The agents in charge of her case don’t like it when they talk, either, but Vic doesn’t care.)
Coworker. Spencer has seen her around, mostly while he's working the psychoisolation desk. He's never seen her use any psychic powers, which he takes a bit of comfort in. Maybe he's not the *only* non-psychic here that isn't on the custodial staff.
Coworker. Nadya uses the psychoisolation rooms as ballet practice space, so she knows Spencer a little. He’s never seen him use any sort of psychic power, but he just assumes he’s on a medical leave of some sort like her.
Podcast :] || Coworkers. He’s been making plans to learn her mental forging technique for months now, but he’s never had the time to… and he doesn’t seem to get why he shouldn’t now. He holds Harlow in high regard.
Coworkers. This guy needs to put his brain back in before she lets him anywhere *near* a fucking hearth. She respects him, especially for being so accomplished at his age, but FUCKING HELL please take a sick day.
Coworker. Channary is rather interested in his fast paced, glamourous life prior to the Psychonauts. She's been considering asking her what the best way to tastefully incorporate glitter eyeshadow into her work makeup would be.
Coworker. Micah’d be damned NOT to know who Channary is- he was kind of starstruck when she first joined the Psychonauts. She brings her coffee sometimes.
Coworker, mentoring his daughter. They both have kids around the same age, so they've shared parenting advice. Harlow has to admit that she's a little comforted by hearing from another parent that teenagers are just like that, and she hasn't made some critical error with Hermes.
Coworker and the father of her current trainee. They’ve got kids that are just about the same age, so they’ve shared parenting advice a few times. Micah thinks her daughter is in good hands with her.
Coworker. Lazarus didn't really get many chances to interact with the other interns she was in the program with, as the higher ups still considered her an exceptionally high risk, but she still knows Nadya. In fact, Nadya is the only intern she ever talked to.
Josie knows all about Nadya's crush. Lazarus has no idea about it, or that Josie can be bought.
Coworker. They were in the Intern Program together, and Nadya’s been nursing an embarrassingly large crush since then. So far, the only other living thing that knows is Josie, whose silence he’s been buying with craft supplies and scraps of meat from his weekly meal prep.
Close friend, would be fine with the title of honorary aunt. December finds her an interesting case, but she's fond of the kid all the same. Thinks it's a damn shame AV's not getting more out of her job. December lets her stay over whenever she's around.
Close friend, kinda-sorta-maybe-possibly honorary niece. She’s not really sure how they met, but AV greatly admires her all the same. They crash on her couch whenever her “parents” take her on business trips.
Senior agent, used to date her dad. Though they're still very cheery and upbeat around her, they have no goddamn clue how to address the whole "I'm your father's ex-lover" thing.
Junior agent, the rest’s kinda complicated. Ex-supervillain or not, she thinks they’re ultra-lame.
Ex-lover. On good terms, though Jules is relaxed with almost everybody. They may be overly casual with Micah, considering.
Ex-lover. They’re on pretty good terms, though Micah still thinks they’re kind of a jackass.
Mentor and superior agent. Harlow is very enthusiastic about teaching, and she's not too bothered by Makenah's lateness. Hell, she was 17 once and she's got a son around the same age, she knows what it's like. The exploding weapons might be a bad sign, but Harlow hasn't tried to pry too much.
Mentee and inferior agent. Makenah still doesn’t show up to her classes on time, but she’s genuinely interested in mental forging and surprisingly open to learning. As of right now, all the weapons that she makes explode after a short while, but she thinks that makes them way cooler.
Half-Sibling. Fina likes their brother, but they're pushy about him being psychic to a degree that often annoys Hermes. They don't understand his hangups about being psychic, and Fina thinks they're helping by trying to get him to use more of his psychic powers.
Half-Brother. Though Hermes cares a lot about Fina, his own worries about not letting his peers know he's psychic have driven a wedge between them. It's a wedge that Fina doesn't really see on account of them being 10 years old, but is there nonetheless. He's trying his best to maintain a relationship with his sibling, but he struggles when they try to push him into being more visibly psychic.
Child. Fina idolizes Harlow like nothing or nobody else. They think being a psychonaut is the coolest thing in the world and they want to be just like Harlow when they grow up.
Mother. Harlow is incredibly moved by the fact that Fina has never treated being psychic as any sort of curse, and she wants to do everything she can to keep their enthusiasm alive. It's hard, in a world that fears and looks down on psychics, but she's trying to ensure that Fina has it easier than her or Hermes did growing up psychic.
Son. Hermes asks people not to do the math with their ages. He loves his mother, but her being a psychonaut makes it hard to hide his own psychic abilities from his friends. The two of them are incredibly close, but recently he's been drawing away from her a bit.
At his age, Hermes is realizing a lot about the circumstances of his birth, how a teenage pregnancy made Harlow drop out of high school and uprooted her whole life. Though she's never faulted him for it, Hermes can't help but feel guilty about it in some part...
Mother. Harlow had him as a result of a teenage pregnancy, but she tries not to treat the topic like some dark secret that needs to be kept under wraps. The two of them are incredibly close, having been through hell and back together.
However, Hermes has been pulling away recently and opening up to Harlow less. She worries about him, but he won't tell her what's going on.
Coworkers. Channary does not know who this guy is.
Coworkers. He was a bit starstruck when he learned Channary worked here. Like, she's famous, he's seen her on magazine covers and everything. The two haven't actually spoken.
Coworkers, somewhat friendly. Shocking everyone, Lazarus is actually on decent terms with the cheerful and social office guy. Since Spencer isn't psychic (though, Lazarus just assumes he also can't levitate) and is also disabled, the two have found some common ground in their frustration about a building so structured around needing levitation to get around.
Coworkers, friendly. Some way, some how, Spencer managed to be on decent terms with the girl who seemingly hates everyone. Since Lazarus can't levitate and is also disabled, the two have found some common ground in their frustration about a building so structured around needing levitation to get around.
Former Mentor. Jules was probably the only adult who was able to get through to Lazarus when she was in the intern program. They never handled her with safety gloves even when she was considered a "high risk" case by the higher-ups.
Former Mentee. Jules is the only senior agent that Lazarus respects. After she'd made no progress with every other agent who volunteered to be a mentor, they sent her to a former supervillain currently in psychoisolation, trying to scare her out of the path they thought she was going down. However, Jules was the best mentor she could have had. After she became a junior agent, she pushed for Jules to be allowed senior agent status.
Ex-Spouse. Jules hopes Caspian heals from all the things he doesn't talk about.
Ex-Husband. Caspian has an entire monologue of heartbreak on some days, on others he just curses himself for marrying a surfer.
"Honors are highly owed, of course. She saved my life and preserved me as this, my gratitude is eternal."
Podcast :0 (Coworkers, don’t talk much. Swears they’ve seen her on a magazine cover or something.)
Coworkers. They don't really know each other. Channary swears she's read that name in True Psychic Tales somewhere though.
Coworkers. Jules is her senior but does not act like it. They're totally okay with her falling asleep on the job.
Coworkers. Their offices are close but they don't talk much. Channary often falls asleep to the beach music that always seems to come from Jules' office.
