Folks who enter The Playroom are usually children, young adults, and kids at heart. The allure of bright colors and friendly atmosphere have a calming sensation about it, and even the thrill of The Slide isn't enough to upset visitors.
One can enter The Playroom on accident, simply opening a door or turning a corner can lead an unsuspecting visitor into The Playrooms many areas. Upon fulfilling the needs of their inner child, most visitors end up leaving happy and relaxed, discovering a newfound childlike wonder with the world. It isn't uncommon for an accidental visitor to become a repeat playmate, and sometimes even ḇ̶̇ͅẹ̶̗̎̂c̷̬̜̎o̷̧͗͜m̸͇͑̍i̴͂̏ͅn̸͔̥̉͆g̴̖̃ ̷̭͛ȯ̴͕̞n̸̟̈e̵͇͓̎̕ ̴͈͖̑̅w̵̺̥̏́i̶̛̼ť̴̰̘h̵͕̍ ̵̘͉͗͘Ţ̷͍͐͘h̸͕̐e̵̹̬̐́ ̴̠̱̽P̷̝̻͛l̷͔̾à̵͙y̶̛͈͆R̴̦̙̾o̷͖͍͊o̸̮̒m̵̭̝̈́̈.
Adults sometimes end up in The Playroom, similar to accidental visitors, by turning a corner and ending up inside. However, higher numbers of adult visitors have been known to lash out or harm residents of The Playroom, ä̸͍̣́n̵̺͐͑d̵̤͑͛ ̴̳͉̓͂t̸̙͌h̶̥̞̊̾ą̶̠͋̓t̸̼͎͌ ̶̟͙̌͆j̶̨̳̔̚u̶̧͚̒̀s̷̲̄t̵̨̝͝ ̸̤͖̿̈́ẁ̷̫ͅo̶͎̿n̵̲̅͆'̸̨̜̽t̶̤̰̑̿ ̴̹̩̍d̴̹̒̈́ọ̵̚,̷͉̲͂̚ ̶̾͠ͅn̷̰͆o̶̤̺͛͝w̵̳̎̒ ̴͎̂w̵͙̬̒̎i̸̝̍̌ĺ̷͇̓l̵̦͈͝ ̸̗̥͠ĭ̷̢̑ẗ̷̗̫?̶̣̾?? Adult residents who cause any malicious damage to The Playroom shall be put in Time Out. and repeated offenses s̸͎̀͊h̴̛̫a̸͉̖͒͌l̶̝̀̂l̷̼̇ ̵̳̓b̴̪́̕e̶͙͂ ̷͖̲̓d̷͍͂ḛ̶͉̒̓ȁ̵̹̗l̶̮̾̎t̷̘͙́͠ ̶̟̮̄̎ẅ̴̮͙́̇i̷͍̽͗t̴̼̪̎͋h̸̪͋̈.̴̖̂̓.
There are several rooms and sections of The Playroom that have scheduled Arts&Crafts time. Residents who help operate these functions and assist visitors are usually crafted, sculpted, or otherwise overly colorful in appearance. Some are even art pieces brought to life~!
A lot of the crafted residents are friendly and polite, and incredibly patient with the visitors who play with them. They shell out praise and prizes, and even create beautiful collaboration pieces with those who spend the time crafting or drawing while in The Playroom.
There is only one pair of scissors in The Playroom, which are locked in a desk in the Visitors Center.
Crafts done in The Playroom are safe enough for all ages to participate in, and any paper pieces needing to be cut are taken care of by a resident, or perforated for easy ripping. If a resident trusts an adult visitor, they may be allowed to retrieve the scissors for the Arts&Crafts projects.
At scheduled times during your stay in The Playroom, you may have heard an announcement for Nap Time, and have heard soft music playing as the lights dimmed. Nap Time is important for visitors and residents alike to rest and relax, gaining back much needed strength that was lost during Play Time.
Residents in charge of NapTime are large, soft bodied beings, with soothing scents and calming voices. Taking on the form of friendly, fantastical beasts, these residents are gentle giants, taking great care to protect and comfort residents of all ages. It is a regular sight to have a large resident snoozing with several children and at least one adult in their embrace. Yes, it seems like no one is immune to the whispering allure of Nap Time.
If there were clocks in The Playroom, you would notice that Nap Time occurs from 2-3pm, 10-11pm, and 4-5am. Despite the short amount of time spent resting, visitors feel full of energy and ready to start playing shortly after waking. Well, right after Snack Time, that is.
The Cafeteria is more of an open food court, with several different stations filled with all sorts of treats and snacks to quench the appetite of any visitor. Residents of The Cafeteria commonly have food themed appearances and names, and seem to have an insatiable hunger, themselves. Thankfully, the meals they prepare are enough to satisfy them so long as The Kitchen is maintained by The Lunch Lady. She is very rarely seen, as residents bring food trays in and out of The Kitchen, and no one else is allowed inside for safety reasons.
A favorite for visitors is the Delightful Dream Dessert station, filled with cookies, candies, and a do-it-yourself Ice Cream Bar! It seems as if the tubs of ice cream and candy never empty, and are constantly overflowing with fresh treats. Bring your color-changing spoons for this one!
The next favorite, which can sometimes unnerve adult visitors, is the Favorite Food station. As the name suggests, the residents of the Favorite Food station always seem to know what your favorite food is, be it a family recipe, a discontinued treat, or a fantasy concoction you hadn't tried yet. Whatever it is, the residents are always ready to serve it to you fresh (or stale, if you desire), and with a smile. It is not known how the residents know what your favorite food will be, as most visitors are new faces. Regardless, the station is the second most popular in The Cafeteria, and the idea is quickly forgotten with full bellies and happy faces.
