Benny there's probably aged more than me in two nights than I've done in twenty years, and she's one of the only people you can really trust these days. Well, she's stir-crazy, seeing as she's still got more than half of a moral compass after that many years in this dump, but that's good for her. Hope she never notices the rot that's creeping up on her, right under her shoes.
When I used to frequent the place, we'd chuck dimes at each other all the time. We did it old style, giving criminals the third and doing classic Zwei protecting business. 'Your Shield.' Pfft, yeah, right. Anyhow, we got things done. Slow but effective. 'Course, my go-to on jobs was Doug, because I had more than enough brains and not enough muscle...
She got distracted, somewhat, and I figured she ended up in someone else's pockets like all the good ones do. Never bothered to find out who, since around that time I had no kick about her career, only mine. Then we parted ways over time, with not even a word.
I owe her one, I'll admit that much, but I'm left to wonder if the high pillow herself thinks cashing in any favors from me is worth it. Not after I got my ass shipped from Zwei... (NOT FINAL)
That there is a dangerous broad. Eh, pal, what's with the tie and glad rags... what kind of Shi assassin do you think you are? (NOT FINAL)
Some kind of physician, I reckon, working up the magic of augmentation. Never seemed the most scrupulous... just what I needed. I suppose I'll have a crazy doc to ring if I'm ever behind the eight-ball again and lose another ear. (NOT FINAL)
That's my partner and ex-trusted confidante, Douglas "Doug" Leghorn.
We've been through nights in the Backstreets, two-to-Wings-know-how-many Syndicate ambushes, and worse, each other. We have some... history, good and bad.
Oh, Haddy, Haddy, Haddy... You could've sat in that chair of yours and coasted smoothly to freedom, but you had to screw it up, huh? Couldn't shake off the thrills of our labor, I see. Y'know, you could've picked anyone for the job, but you'll always come back to me, 'cause you know I'm the only one batshit enough to put up with your antics. That's alright though. Birds of a feather flock together, am I right?
A direct, reliable person. He's an exemplary Raven and doesn't bother me. Except for when he forgets it's easiest to throw out broken tools.
I am honored to serve as Commander Gunthram's eyes and ears. She understands that business comes before pleasure, if they ever partake in a thing like that.
(They're somewhat intimidating, and occasionally goes beyond the line of cold formality into what I'd consider cruelty, but that's not my concern. If I want to better myself, it would behoove me to follow in their shadow.)
Cute and short! One day you'll hit me~
Heheheh. More seriously, having someone reliable to file the paperwork is great. And an interrogation could use a "good guy" to round out a "bad guy."
The words I would use to describe them are unprofessional, but I could try... they're barely entertaining on good days, insufferable on bad ones.
(I'm not certain how they're supposed to be considered my counterpart. I'm not the sort of person to want to rough anyone up for any reason, but I think I can have a reasonable inclination to want to...)
A pretty little thing. I saved him from fools, once my servants, who understood not what beauty was. A favor was owed for his life, of course, and I lovingly collected it in the form of a beautiful thread made from his blood...
Oh, little Colo, show me what hides under your mask.
(After I let Atlach take a piece of me, I visited her more often... She has no reason to keep me around, with all the work it has to do, but I can't help but believe that I owe them my life. So I will prove my love, however flawed it may be, until we can show our true faces...)
I like her calmness in stressful situations, I'd teach her a few tricks with her "Paws," but I've never been in a dirty line of work like her. I also have an unquenchable desire to eat her.
Teyah has no passion for this work. It's a shame, considering she has talent for it. As a doctor, I can't exactly recommend her drinking habits, either. Oh well!
It was hard to resist her back then, and even harder to resist the opportunity she gave me. But I should have gone with my gut. I'm sure she regrets it too. I won't be surprised if she's already thinking to get rid of me as soon as I lose my worth, if I haven't lost it already.
Sorry, doc. I don't have any more excuses...
I really don't like the way she comes to work not sober, it makes me nervous, but I think she needs help, I bring her snacks and treats, thinking she will be pleased. I hope she doesn't think she owes me, I do it out of personal principles.
Yeah, I'm working with REAL upstanding and moral individuals. I'll even bet she thinks I owe her big-time for all those snacks she brings for me when I come to work nursing a hangover. And don't even ask me what she does with the bodies, I don't want to think about it.
...I've learned through observing Teyah talking to everyone that I need to evaluate my normalcy.
I'm restraining myself from talking outside of work because I don't want to accidentally scare them.
I don't want to be seen as scary. I like her company.
Bit of a creep, if I'll be honest, but I suppose he's not all that bad for minding his own business. I think a drink or five would suit them, get 'er to live a little. He's not really a suckup, but being the one whose worked here the longest, of course he'll be close to the doctor. Can't blame her.
Not everyone can adapt to the harshness of fixer life. I hate to admit it, but Teyah is one of those who still isn't used to it. She's really good at what she does but...I think most of us can tell that she doesn't wanna be here. I try to encourage them sometimes, I really do! Maybe one day they'll actually open up...
There's always this concerned little look on their face. He's easy to get off my back with a nod or a shrug, but you can tell he pities me, honestly. I think xey'd go places if xey learned to stop caring about being sappy and nice.
Hmm... I like her! She's fun to play with. Her reactions are so funny.
Also, she's the only person who hasn't started avoiding me for some reason?
North is... somewhat strange, sure. But they're not dangerous, like everyone says!
There definitely is something about her, though, and I can't help but be wrapped up by it...
