ive been quite disappointed with and not proud of the designs i put out for the past few years, up until this point ive always tried to design with the mindset of outdoing the last ones and its been admittedly exhausted. so ive decided to just say screw everything and just, make designs for funsies! i know it should have been the obvious way to go about it but ive always prided myself with not halfassing anything and in turn ended up stressing myself over it too often,,, ive always ended up keeping my characters whos designs were just made out of vibes anyway!

ig the point of making this post is to say there would be more designs, both quantity and frequency, that are sketchy, experimental, or just plain simple. but ik ill have fun with them again :)

former sugaryu here! tbh never really feel connected to that name but just thought it sounded cute. i go by yu and/or young anyway so it doesnt really affect me much haha
also i think i maybe am a little interested in splatoon,,, maybe,,, (my name,,)
so im sorry for future spams of splatoon contents!!

would you guys be interested if i were to open patreon? i used to have one a while while back but i felt like i didnt have much things to offer and decided to close it down,, if i do reopen a new one again, what are the things you want to see or receive as rewards? as of rn, im thinking of sharing wips and speedpaints and personal art of course, but maybe have commission available there now that ive closed it for public?? theres,,, a lot of things i want to do and have planned tbh so itll be like riding a rollercoaster lol idk what do you think?

so uh hi
sorry for the inactivity for the past months/year, life has been busy and it gave me time to think over my path in drawing so ill split that into sections.

Closing Commission
i dont think i hold the same feelings for art as i used to. its not a bad thing! i view my time spending on drawing in a different perspective now, and it made it harder to do commissions. it has reached an all time low in the past year or so as i am juggling between different things in my life. my already poor time management and communication made it especially unfair to people who have commissioned me in the past, and i would like to apologize for the unprofessionalism.
and for that, ill limit and/or stop taking commission as a whole. with that being said, i wouldnt be opposed to the idea of working on one from time to time. but ill just prioritize personal work above them. im finishing up the rest of the owed commissions and trade.

Future Plans
i felt its pretty appropriate to do this at the end of the year. im pretty excited about this new chapter in life. i have a lot of things planned out art wise, especially with me graduated and currently preparing things to move into a new apartment. now with a significant more free time, ill get to do more things that ive put off on making for a long time.
one of the things i want to get into is storytelling and world building, whether its for an arpg, comic, or personal headcanons. having a lot of thought juice inside my cranium that i want to put out somewhere. get back to uploading speedpaints or stream, work on my games, relaunching patreon, maybe opening up a shop? there are just too many things that are just concepts for now and not concrete enough, its all up in the air haha but definitely stay tuned!

Trades
despite closing commission, bribery is always on the table haha im up for doing art and customs, or anything really, for things that im seeking or piqued my interests. or it could just be money idk ill make a separate post about the details on it at some point.

nothing really major, just a little rant of sort!!

please dont get a design from me just to trade/sell them away the next day,, ive already made my policies on designs' values and ownerships very lenient but my god dont abuse it.
i do occasionally check up on them and while a lot of them are in great homes, some are being handed away like trading cards aa
despite not being under my ownership, i make every design with lots of love and care and do wish everyone who own them to share the same sentiments!!
