Rules/Terms of Service & Use for buying and owning my original characters

• By using my resources (including my codes & designs/templates), owning a character created by me (through sales, adoptions, gifts, etc.) and commissioning me (both artworks & codes), you automatically agree to my Terms of Service/Usage as stated below.
• Failure to follow my Terms of Service results in immediate blacklisting and a permanent ban from transacting and using resources in any form with/from me. (This includes buying/owning my commissions, adoptions, original characters and using my codes & designs/templates)
• Extra terms may be added on the way, make sure to check this page regularly to be as up-to-date as possible.

• All characters on this account are up for offers. Click HERE to see all characters.
• All characters in the "Up for sale" folder on my main account are priced within a fixed range. Click HERE to see the folder.

General rules/terms

Payment

• DeviantART points

You can

• Modify, touch up and add filters to the design.
• Change the colours of minor parts. For instance, accessories, markings, etc. (Read more in "You cannot" and "Notes" sections)
• Resell, regift, retrade the character. (Read more in the "You cannot" section)
• Come up with information, profile and create backstories/stories for the character. (Read more in the "You cannot" section)
• Create relatives and offspring for the character. (Read more in the "Notes" section)
• Link the character. This means you can put them in a relationship with a character of yours. (Read more in the "You cannot" section)
• Co-own the character with someone else or multiple other people.
• Delete "transaction" comments in the comment section.

You cannot

• Completely mess the design up to the point that it is unrecognisable and looks like a whole different character.
• Whitewash, blackwash, etc. the character.
• Create relatives and offspring with the exact palette and/or design.
• Get my character involved in backstories/stories that encourage inappropriate actions and sentiments, rape, discrimination, hate speech, etc.
• Get my character constantly/permanently involved in incestuous relationships.
• Sell my character for more than you bought without additional bought artwork.
• Delete the character from the site or create a new profile on the site for the character and abandon the original one.
• Copy, trace and claim that you created the character.
• Claim as yours and use the character without paying in full.

Notes

• For now, I will be responsible for all transfer fees. Please tell me if you are able to pay in AUD, I will convert the price into AUD.
• You don't necessarily have to use the character you bought/got from me nor do you have to draw and buy additional artwork for the character once you have obtained the character.
• There is no limit on how many characters you can offer on/buy/own from me.
• You CAN create backstories/stories that involve/mention inappropriate actions and sentiments, rape, discrimination, hate speech, etc., for my character, but they must be explicitly labelled and MUST NOT encourage the aforementioned topics and MUST have an ending in which the previously mentioned topics are resolved/gone.
• You CAN get my character in toxic and abusive relationships, but there MUST be a happy ending for them in which toxicity and abusiveness are no longer involved.
• Fanarts, gifts, collaborations and trades DO NOT add value to the character. ONLY commissions, personal artworks (at reasonable prices) and any pieces of work that require paying real/virtual currency can be counted.
• If you have any problem with the designs, ideas, etc., please privately send me a message so we can have everything resolved.
• If you are offering on/buying/owning a character made by someone else from me, make sure to follow their rules & Terms of Use.

F2U/Free to use codes

You must

• Have WYSIWYG" turned off and "Code editor" turned on in your display setting at all times throughout the whole editing process.
• Do not put my codes through WYSIWYG, they will break.

You can

• Frankenstein, modify and change the codes to your heart's content. This includes changes to colours, elements' sizes, images, etc.
• Use my codes for other purposes. For instance, using my user codes as character codes and vice versa.
• Combine my codes with other creators' codes as long as everyone is properly credited and other coders allow their codes to be combined.
• Modify my credit so it is next to other coders' credits, etc. You can change the icon of my credit so it suits your theme/taste.
• Take reference/inspiration from my codes. (Read more in the "You cannot" section)
• Use my codes for personal use. (Both on-site and off-site)
• Link your profiles/characters in the comment section to show the results or just simply leave a comment saying you are planning to use/have used one of my codes.
• Offer fill-ins/edits of my codes for free.
• Share my F2U codes with your friends and encourage/tell them to use my codes.

You cannot

• Remove and hide my credit or move it somewhere it will not be invisible/will be extremely hard to see/spot. The credit must clearly state "CODE BY dashyowo" and link to my account aka dashyowo or the page where you got the code from.
• Directly copy and paste/rip sections off my codes or use my codes/sections of my codes as the bases/templates for/to make your own F2U/P2U/D2U/etc. codes in any form and platform. Although I said that taking reference/inspiration is allowed, copy and pasting & ripping off will not be tolerated.
• Claim my codes as your own. (Both on-site and off-site)
• Gain profit from my codes. This includes reselling and charging virtual/real currencies for any of my codes.
• Repost, copy, steal and redistribute my codes.

Notes

• Feel free to reach out to me if you need any further help. Please allow me up to 48 hours to respond. Make sure all inquiries are coding-related, irrelevant messages & comments will not be responded/replied to.
• If you have any problem with image/pattern/artwork usage, ideas, etc., please privately send me a message so we can have everything resolved.
• If you want to offer fill-ins of my F2U codes for profit, you must ask for my permission and receive my approval first and I must have at least 20% of the amount you charge. (You can bargain/discuss more about my share but it must be reasonable)
• Feel free to tell me if you spot any bugs/unusable sections in my codes.

P2U/Pay to use codes

All terms in the "F2U/Free to use codes" section apply to this section as well. The following terms are additional and important ones that specifically apply to all my P2U/Pay to use codes.

You must

• Pay/purchase before using.

You can

• Use my P2U codes that you have paid for on your alternative accounts.

You cannot

• Redistribute my P2U codes to unauthorised users/users that have not paid for them yet.
• Offer/Ask for fill-ins unless both parties have purchased the code. (You can ask for a minor discount if it is just for fill-ins. Please be honest)
• Inspect my P2U and use them without paying properly.

Notes

• It is your responsibility to keep all invoices/proofs of your purchases. In the event that you lose the code files, you must provide me with sufficient evidence in order to receive the code files again.
• I accept payments with USD through Paypal, Ko-fi and DeviantART points through DeviantART.

Custom codes/code commissions

All terms in "F2U/Free to use codes & P2U/Pay to use" sections apply to this section as well. The following terms are additional and important ones that specifically apply to all my custom codes.

You cannot

• Redistribute my custom codes to other users unless we have discussed this beforehand during the process.

Designs/Templates

You can

• Use my designs/templates for personal use. Using them for assessment tasks/projects is completely alright.

Notes

• If you are using my Canva templates, you will be asked to create a/log into your Canva account.
• Make sure at least 30% of my templates are edited.
• You do not have to include credits if you intend to print the edited designs/templates out to hand in to the teachers, etc. (Please do not claim to make everything from scratch at school, etc.) You must explicitly credit me in the caption if you post designs using my templates publicly on social media.
