basics
kethea (keh-fey-ah) is a small planet with many species (alien humanoids) choosing to reside here for its quaint and rather peaceful atmosphere.
the name kethea actually refers to the single giant continent on this planet; the planet just has one continent with a handful of smaller islands. interplanetary ports are stationed throughout the continent to efficiently provide travel to neighbouring planets.
[magic details] typically, kethean citizens do not yield magical powers, only non-human abilities. most citizens are mundane though - they don’t really have abilities that would be particularly useful in the world, mostly just presenting non-human traits!
locations
the main setting is theius city, a metropolitan area located west of kethea (the continent).
“quiet city”; as the name suggests, this part of the city is kind of what you’d imagine when describing the atmosphere of the planet. buildings are mostly residential (mixture of houses and low-rise apartments) and are vintage and artistic, and although it is less populated than the busy side, nothing is too far away to find. qiao and ivo’s shared apartment is located here.
“busy city”; this part of the city is a lot more populated and has a bigger focus on fun, with more entertainment venues like festivals and clubs located here. it is also a popular location for filming movies thanks to its proximity to kethea’s prettiest beaches and well tended landscapes. bellamy currently lives here.
cedarside; a relatively older part of kethea not too far from the quiet city, there are a lot of regional parks and natural landscapes bordering the inhabited areas. there is a diverse mix of urban and rural components, and a lot of college/university campuses are located here. ajax is currently attending school here.
other
COSTELLO; the de carvalho / delfim extended family’s homeworld. it appears like a whole island on maps, but it’s actually broken up into many, many connected islands with more shallow water in between. there are a couple major cities and is home to a majority of nymphs and woodland creatures who can thrive in freshwater.
[UNKNOWN]; a seemingly farther foreign planet where magic is more widely used and magic users are highly valued; this appears to be where josué traveled from.
