wright and emerson are friends. wright admires emerson for being a lot stronger than he is, and for taking on this quest to hunt down demons, even if it’s not entirely by choice. he’s here to support emerson however he can, and likes to take care of him by making meals when emerson visits. wright just doesn’t understand why emerson seems uneasy around him…
wright and emerson are friends. emerson also has a humongous crush on wright, stemming from when wright was one of the first people to greet emerson at monstrucatus and help nurse him back to health. emerson really admires how wright stays calm and kind towards everyone, and never really seems to get mad. he also thinks wright is smart, and cute, and... we could be here for a while. around wright, it's easy to fluster emerson. emerson is still too nervous to try to confess to wright, still believing wright to be 100% straight (spoiler alert: he's not). so, he spends his time trying to enjoy the friendship they have while still being too afraid to turn it into something more.
emerson and olivia are friends, sort of. emerson watches horror movies with olivia and plays video games with them. olivia also lets emerson vent to them, with the catch being that they won't(can't?) offer any advice to him. olivia sort of balances out emerson, as they are very unemotional while emerson is over-emotional.
emerson and olivia are friends, sort of. emerson watches horror movies with olivia and plays video games with them. olivia also lets emerson vent to them, with the catch being that they won't(can't?) offer any advice to him. despite this, emerson very much appreciates having some sort of outlet for his highly emotional mind.
carrie and emerson are friends. carrie claims they bonded initially over their crush on wright, although emerson is quick to deny that. carrie has declared themselves to be emerson's wingman in his crush on wright, much to the monster boy's dismay. carrie figures that emerson has a better chance with wright than she does. other than that, carrie feels empathy towards emerson for having his life fucked up by something out of his control. she listens to emerson vent, and takes him out to do fun things when he's in between missions.
carrie and emerson are friends. emerson thinks carrie is a little too loud and crude, but he appreciates that shes always willing to listen to him vent. he's a little embarrassed that carrie wants to be his wingman for wright, but he secretly appreciates her awkward attempts to get juicy secrets from his crush. emerson does wonder if carrie might have ulterior motives for wanting them to get together, though. emerson appreciates that carrie has fun things scheduled for him to do when hes off missions.
di and olivia are friends. the two bonded after olivia almost broke james's arm when he hit on her. di was impressed. olivia mostly takes di's comments about murder to be a joke, not believing that di is actually capable of hurting someone. the two of them often watch horror movies together, and gossip about people in school they don't like. or at least di complains to olivia about those students a lot.
olivia and di are friends, although di wouldn't describe them as that. she would say that olivia is the one closest to her own worldview. olivia broke james's arm once when he hit on the robot and di respects olivia for that. di talks openly about her murderous tendencies with olivia; believing olivia to be willing to go along with di's plans if the cherub ever got serious. di and olivia like to watch horror movies together, with di having a love of them and olivia mostly being curious about why humans find them scary. di complains to olivia about students she hates a lot, and olivia is happy (or at least willing) to listen.
di and emerson are acquainted. he sometimes watches horror movies with olivia and di, since he's seen enough horrible stuff in his life that he isn't scared by movies. emerson feels like di is a little creepy, but he's desperate enough for friends that he's willing to put up with her blank stares and general coldness to have some fragment of friendship.
di and emerson are acquainted. di sometimes invites emerson to watch horror movies with olivia and her. di wants to actually scare emerson but he's seen enough awful things in his demon adventures that he's not bothered by horror movies. di is morbidly interested in emerson's weird demon transformation and the associated suffering, but doesn't really care about emerson himself.
carrie and di are acquainted through school. carrie doesn't personally know di, but would like to make friends with her. carrie thinks di is cute. still, they feel something might be off about the cherub...
di and carrie are acquainted through school. di absolutely detests carrie, having heard carrie's vulgar jokes for a while. carrie is high on her list of people she wants to stab, but since carrie is never really alone di hasn't had a chance to try.
olivia and wright are friends. wright is the reason that olivia sticks around carrie, honestly. she appreciates that he is book-smart like her and actually genuinely enjoys talking to him about whatever scientific paper or article he has read lately. olivia does feel that wright is weak, and wishes he would put more effort into toughing up instead of just only strengthening his mind.
olivia is wright’s second closest friend. he thinks that they can be too brusque and apathetic, but appreciates that they are willing to speak their mind. he wishes they would be more open to socializing but knows that everyone has their boundaries. he enjoys the times that olivia is open to conversation and he can talk about whatever scientific article or paper he’s seen recently. he likes that olivia is intelligent and logical like him, although sometimes he does feel a little below her.
wright is carrie's closest friend. she trusts him more than anyone else, partially because of the circumstances of their meeting and partially because wright is just really Pure. she is very very strongly crushing on him, and he is very very aware of that. she at least knows that he doesn't see her like that, and just wants to stay friends. sometimes carrie pokes fun of him because she finds it fun to make him embarrassed. she never says anything actually hurtful to him, at least. she looks up to him a lot as he is responsible and has his life together and is basically her antithesis. they do think though, that he needs to take more time off from work so that he doesn't burn himself out. carrie is often the one who drags the two of them out for some impromptu fun. carrie worries a lot about wright's safety, as he is a Very Mortal Human in a Rather Dangerous Field, but she does her best not to let wright see her anxieties.
wright is carrie’s best friend. he still feels pity for her for what she went through when she died, and because he is one of the only people who knows, he sticks by her. he tolerates her teasing since he knows they don’t actually mean it, and on a similar note pushes past their obnoxiousness since he knows at heart carrie means well. he has a vague sense of how attached carrie is to him, but doesn’t know the full extent. he admires their loyalty to their friends and appreciates her being able to protect him in combat.
olivia is carrie's second closest friend. originally, carrie saw olivia as someone in the same situation as she was. meaning, an outsider to monstrucatus and too scared of everything new there to make friends on their own. olivia was just truly antisocial, but carrie still pestered them into being friends. carrie feels a certain level of pity for olivia due to the robot not wanting to discuss their past. carrie admires how naturally strong olivia is and how they are super smart as well. carrie also relates to olivia since they both are virtually immortal. carrie sometimes thinks olivia is too uptight though, and tends to drag her along with wright in her impulse adventures. carrie unironically calls olivia the tsukkomi to their boke.
carrie and olivia are friends...? it's unknown to even olivia why she sticks with carrie, when the ghost annoys her on a regular basis, but nonetheless olivia lets herself be dragged along on carrie's adventures. perhaps it's because if she wasn't friends with carrie, she would be pressured to befriend someone else. rather the devil you know than the one you don't. besides this, olivia at least respects carrie for putting her all into her work... at least the work in her fighting classes.
