Hello, I hope everyone's doing well, and happy first anniversary to us! I would like to thank everyone’s continued support of this species! Instead of the traditional monthly announcement newsletter and prompt, this month's main activity has been replaced with a FREE MYO Turn-in Event! To celebrate the species' first anniversary, we have decided to open yet another MYO event, but this time with a twist. No MYO slots will be handed this month, but anyone is free to get one (1) Dreadnaut approved without a slot within the event timeframe. Event ends on the 10th of May, be sure to read the instructions carefully below if you're interested in submitting a MYO!

EVENT GUIDELINES

MYO AVAILABILITY

There will be no slots handed out in this event. All users will be able to get one (1) MYO approved at most, Common rarity by default. Everyone gets a free +1 Decayed Trait if you submit your MYO before the end of April. You can get another +1 Decayed Trait if you post a bulletin linking back to this post, and you must include the link before or after the submission form when submitting your MYO.

WHERE/HOW TO SUBMIT?

You can submit a MYO or have your WIP checked to the Discord server, or PMing the ML account (dreadnauts) with this form. Please put 'Free MYO Event' in the slot link section when filling out the form.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

All submissions are expected to be at least a clean sketch flat colored fullbody with the traits clearly visible, and an uncolored sea terror ref next to them. You are free to commission other people to design your MYO for you.

AFTER APPROVAL

After your MYO gets approved, you can now write and use your character however you like. Every MYO from this event still has one week cooldown before transfer, and can only be gifted/traded. If the design was commissioned from another artist, you are allowed to resell but only for the same price you commissioned.

TIME LIMIT

This event will be open from April 5 until May 10. If you submit a MYO within April, you can get a free +1 trait upgrade.

A question for the decayed trait.

Can the skin tone be changed in addition to say the different chamber exits? Or is skin tone a decayed trait on its own? Like is skin tone a trait itself or just an optional extra along with a decayed trait?

Unnatural skin color is a decayed trait yes

Question, does this only apply to first-time users who haven't made a Naut yet or do people with already existing Nauts or owners of unused MYOs are able to participate as well?

Is a twin sea terror considered an irregular mimic, (I’m referring to the type of shell), and does that require a second decayed trait?

Also, would a same species but different pattern twin be considered similar or different?

No. Shell type depends on what's popping out of the head. So it will not be considered mixed unless using a shell with both hardshell and soft tendrils (ex. Nautilus). Same species is similar twins

You can submit one MYO for approval at most for free without requiring a slot.

Question with the traits- I know that we get +1 decay trait for the bulletin and if we turn in before the deadline. I'm wonder if we can turn our common myo into a rare one since theres a +trait upgrade if we submit an myo before deadline too? unless Im reading this wrong-

You only get +2 decayed upgrades, not a permanent upgrade ^^

the slot itself will not be upgraded into a decayed slot (common restrictions still apply, you can just add up to +3 decayed traits, assuming you did use the iridescent scale), only their label on the masterlist will be listed as ‘decayed MYO’

so does this mean you can't use one of the decayed traits to use decayed slot only traits like unnatural skin color?

hello !! can i ask if the sea terror inhabiting a dreadnaut has to be something scary or of some sort of leviathan characteristic? i was planning to make use of sea angels as the sea creature for mine, but i checked the trait sheet and wasn't sure if it would be allowed ;w;

since sea angels are very small (5cm long), would multiple of them in a single dreadnaut count as a micro-colony? :0

it would count as colony, since microcolony encompasses creatures like planktons

hello! I have a few questions! <3

for the skin tone being unnatural, can it be a case of the skin tone being one color but towards the ends like on the hands it changes color a bit like a gradient?

for the markings, what constitutes those? would the skin need to be visible underneath or would they be solid and can anything be drawn there? (as long as it's 2d)

for overgrowth can that be anywhere on the body?

for eyes are there any things off limits? such as different shaped iris, eye color and sclera color?

weird final one but anything off limits for blood flesh color? (nothing graphic would be drawn in reference but just to note kinda deal)

2) Depends on the type of markings, I suggest sending a MYO check to see if your idea is good

4) No restrictions, eyes are untraited

1. Yes. We highly recommend you joining our discord and doing intermittent design checks in our MYO-check channel, so there won't be any misunderstandings or mistakes when designing. You'll also get faster responses there :]

2. No. As mentioned earlier, this is a Turn-In Event. What that means is that all you need to do is turn in a design, and we will approve it if everything checks out.

3. Yes. We do not limit the creativity of people's designs and encourage everyone to get creative with how mimics are shaped and/or work in relation to the shape of the actual terror.

Small question- if I have a dreadnaut with soft-shell spots but want to also use horns as a mimic, would they be allowed to be upright like a hard-shell...?
