Hi everyone!

It's an announcement regarding the future of the species I've been meaning to make for a while now.

First of all I'd like to thank everyone for your patience with me and the hiatus of the species. 

I know it's been a while since the species was active and it must be frustrating to see it inactive for so long and receive late replies, so I really do appreciate it.

Now – unfortunately the hiatus will not end anytime soon.

As some of you might know, I've been struggling ever since I entered university (2021) and have been going to therapy to get an ADHD / executive dysfunction (I don't know if that's the proper english name for it) diagnosis and medication.

It's been really hard to focus on both university, freelancer work and a huge project like the Somniwardens at the same time with an undiagnosed / unmedicated mind such as how mine is at the moment.

I really do love the species and the small community built around it, so I don't to have a half assed species revival / end of hiatus. I have a couple of plans for the species, and plan on doing my best to keep it going for as long as I can.

Since I have so many plans for both new things and improvements I want to execute properly but also struggle with just. . . doing things in general, I actually want to take my time with it so I can deliver the best species revival I can.

To be able to focus better on university, freelancing work (that I need to pay for the therapy) and have time to work on the species, a couple of additional changes will be made for the hiatus:

• The server will be closed (channels privated).
• MYO check and approval will be closed.
• Somniwarden adopts will not be made until the new reference is done.
• Questions channel  will be closed.

A couple of notes on those changes:

• I'm making another server, so the current one will, at the moment, be used only for updates regarding the species.
• One of the things I'm working on is adding and changing the traits of the species, including obligatory traits. Since remaking the trait guide requires a lot of art and time to make it, I don't have an estimate of when it'll be done. I feel it'd be unfair to have people making MYOs with outdated traits or lacking any to-be-added traits. Also, unfortunately, approving, checking and uploading MYOs takes a lot from me.
• For the same reason as above, no Somniwarden adopts will be made neither by me, nor anyone else from the staff (mods / permanent guest artists).
• I've been having a lot of trouble with not receiving proper notifications from discord (mobile) for in-server messages or replies to my messages. From now on, any questions or concerns can be directly sent to me so I won't lose them.
• DMs should be sent to my discord only (Deityve), please do not DM me here on Toyhouse regarding the species unless you don't own a discord account.

I know these changes are inconvenient and frustrating, but I gave them a lot of thought before making them. Closing some of the species activities will help me focus on remaking the traits, lore, new server, new codes and more.

I thank everyone who's read so far and has been patiently waiting for the end of the hiatus. It's not been easy for me to stop and not be able to work on a project I love so much so I really appreciate everyone's kindness and patience!

• I will reply to this bulletin with a quick a hiatus FAQ.
• Any updates regarding the species will be sent on the discord server, as usual, and posted on this world.
• I made a google forms for suggestions and constructive criticism for the species that I'll be checking while working on the species. It's totally anonymous and you can answer as many times as you want. Answers should be respectful and constructive.
