UHHH I was thinking for a while of making a platform to share WIPS on !
I have tons of concepts and doodles with each design that never make it to the final cut,,
so I’m looking to make a monthly subscription where I cna share those worth the die-hards who want to see!
IT WOULD BE $2 A MONTH!!
It would mostly be a tip jar, but where I could share the WIPS and concepts that some people want to see!
MEMBERS WOULD GET:
- Weekly WIPS and concept sketches
- Early Access to the weekly design post
- voting rights / idea share for upcoming designs
- First dibs on Commission slots

I want my work to be accessible to everyone, but don’t want to clog up main sites like this!!
ALSO, woould you suggest Patreon or Ko-fi???

I'm biased and would say a ko-fi might work better but! I think patreon is more accessible to a wider variety of people than ko-fi is! plus more people have patreons than they have ko-fi accounts so maybe it'd be good to start with that :0

Honestly with all the great feedback, I think I might just have to make one of each, and then see which one works best? I’ll need to learn each platform and decide for myself which is best 😅

I would definitely support you! As a member/subscriber I prefer the user interface of patreon over ko-fi, but I have no opinion on which platform is better as a creator.

After hearing both sides, I think what I’ll do is I’ll create one of each to start, and then see how easily I can interact with my members!

As someone who's done both patreon and kofi for membership stuff I'd definitely recommend Patreon above kofi! Kofi is great for a lot of things, i have my online shop on there, but imo Patreon is just more accessable for members and creators and has many many more helpful tools to make interesting posts etc, and to keep track of your patrons/payments. It also has an app that makes it easier to post stuff / for your members to see stuff.

This really helped me out, I was going to write-off Patreon right away because of the higher commission rates, but I do want my members to be able to access my material easily, and it sounds like Patreon is the best option for that!

i'd def donate if you do make one through kofi, i'd love to see wips for future adopts and sketches :)
edit: i don't think i could support you monthly due to things irl but maybe whenever i have extra?
