updating profiles / adding character links

I've been quite busy on here.. as you might have noticed!
I'm mainly just trying to update profiles but in doing so i also got distracted and started linking characters... ahahaa..
so sorry if some links don't have a message yet, I'm working on it!

I also made a whole separate folder for fictional in-universe characters... because yes.. that's what it has come to with me.
I'm THAT deep in my fantasy realm

anyways, I'm always open to yell about your or my ocs with someone so if that's something you feel like doing I'm all ears!!

i’m subbed to you so i’ve been seeing a lot of your updates! your stories seem pretty cool but i have no idea where to start with all the lore, so if you have time i’d love to hear summaries of them! if that’s not inconvenient or anything, of course.

in the meantime, these bird dudes who i’m posting as are my beautiful children and i never get a chance to scream about them! i can answer pretty much any questions about them, and doing so will probably help me flesh out what little story these guys have. so... you tell me your lore and i tell you mine i guess?

sounds like a fun idea!

I already love how they all have really different personalities from eachother XD plus the single line for the eyes are a pretty original artistic choice too!! I love it ^-^
and I suppose the obvious question is if they have a story or where they're hanging out at? I love the last page of your notebook where they're in a hammock and just vibing, could you maybe elaborate a bit more on that?

as for my lore uhhh it's gotten a bit conveluded over the years, to be honest ^-^' everyone has their own life but they're all kind of connected in a way.
For starters, they live in an universe in which most cryptic creatures and mythical beings exist, have existed or are going to exist at some point in time! Which happened because Nameless messed around in the past. So in the present cryptids live a modern life amoung humans too.
uhh.. and that's where I don't really know where to start because everything happens a bit at the same time. Nameless, who was trapped in the spectrum (a ghost realm, basically) for even MAKING these creatures, finally escapes but accidentally drags the main gang into another dimension with him so they're stuck travelling through other dimensions to get back to THEIR dimension. then at the same time people in their dimension take notice of their disappearance and start looking for them, and also researching the paranormal circumstances of how they vanished. and at the same time a science group called project fetus is studying WHY they are the way they are because no one actually knows the facts. but one side of project fetus also performs so Bad Experiments on some people with biological oddities so people are trying to fix that too.
...it's one of those things that make more sense in your head but when you try to say it all out loud it's a bit much

some of my old characters had some pretty confusing lore... i haven’t uploaded them here (and porbably won’t ever, they’re old and confusing), but explaining the intricacies of it is always fun, haha. the story sounds quite interesting though! i love stories that have monsters and alternate worlds in them, so that's pretty cool. nameless’ design is really cool too! you have sooo much art for him, i wish i could draw that much for even one character!

as for my guys’ stories, it’s still kinda in the works. i made cygnet with the intention of putting them in some sort of game, but i doubt that will ever happen, unfortunately. the main plot for that game would be related to helping out some sort of deity i think (pretty sure her name was quid, i have some sketches of her but i don’t know where they are right now...). another idea was that they were all made in some sort of strange experiment in an effort to either protect the world or take it over completely, i forget. cygnet was sort of a test model, then gosling was a more refined model. 8 others were made in that same chunk of the experiment, but i only remember 3 of them... they were all given abilities unique to them, powered by the orbs in their tails. for example, eaglet can swim and duckling can fly! skeet was made later, definitely with some malevolent intentions, but she joined the other guys, for better or for worse.

apparently they canonically share a world with the guys in this folder, i guess because Other Guy looks similar design-wise. i think he’s cygnet’s brother? not totally sure though. their stories don’t intertwine however, they just know each other.

as for the art, there’s no real meaning behind it. i just really like to sketch these guys a lot. kinda hard to see, but cygnet is crawling in to say hi, in the game idea that was meant to be a sort of character swap, so like while the main guy is out exploring and uncovering dark secrets, the rest of them are just chilling in a temporary base. gosling has fancy tastes though, so he brings a hammock everywhere.

also I love the story concepts you came up with and the concept of them getting their abilities from the orbs in their tails!

oh nameless was inspired by quite a lot <:oD but I suppose the one character that made me want to make him in the first place was Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls!
I just really wanted to make a mischievous character who seems like he's already a hundred steps ahead of what everyone else seems to know.

the rest just kind of happened in the process of making him! I gave him my favourite colours at the time, then I gave him Raposa like ears from the game Drawn To Life and then his backspikes were based on art by The Wink System! They've grown quite a bit so their art isn't the same as what inspired me in the first place but it's still really unique!
