ive taken a long break from this community to really think about what i want to experience and communicate through art. i think my priorities have been a bit wonky but have been feeling better and more focused. i am so tired of what i've been doing and need to stop overbooking myself. the transparent fullbody and character trade fodder hell i've put myself in is so lame. im way more cunt than that. at the same time i do a lot of multi media art and am considering starting a tumblr. hmmm lots of things to think about.

tumblr has been so freeing for me and GREAT for my art,, ive made so much more since i moved from deviantart!!!

you deserve these hedonistic ideals!

I will mention that (from my experiences) the tumblr audience only really reblogs fan art of media, rather than original characters. Not to say that some people don't go hog wild for original content, but it is a lot harder to gain a following.

At the same time though, from reading the comments, it seems like that won't be an issue for you, I think. If you are looking for something away from the approval of online folk, then I do recommend getting a tumblr, because you can also customize your profile with templates, and I think that it's really fun >:) (potentially you can also customize your posts with code but I've yet to try it out)

if you start a tumblr id love to follow!! i agree with the others, you should pursue what you'd like.. art is an expression of yourself after all :3 if you find toyhouse to be stifling i think trying out tumblr is a good idea. be FREE

That would be amazing! While making art for other people is great, there always needs to be a balance on making art for yourself, or even just making art to make art. I love tumblr because it doesn’t feel like I need to have a posting schedule there, especially since you can just reblog someone else’s art to help activity on their and your blog. I definitely recommend mixing things up every once and a while!

this is such a good point, thank you for your input. if i do make a tumblr you'll be one of the first people i follow for sure >:p

Yess, of course!

Yeah! no need to stress yourself out over stuff like approval or metrics, a tumblr sounds nice n chill :)

also if you'd like art communities that are focused on more involved stuff feel free to check out my zine :D

i'll have to check the zine out, that sounds like it might be a good time. thank you for letting me know :p

What an exciting prospect! I'd love to give you a follow to wherever you decide to post; your artistic sensibilities are so unique and charming and I'd be so hype to see what you get up to ^^

thank you for the encouragement! i'm surrounded by so many talented people <such as yourself> and really want to get in touch with my artistic identity again. people who are really in tune with their craft make such gorgeous work tbh
