Advice on Apple Pencil Gen 2?

NEED INPUT ON APPLE PENCIL 2ND GEN!!

HAI recently my apple pencil who lasted a whole 3-4 years of being used and shared between me and my youngest sibling has officially kicked the bucket, and I wanna get a replacement, however! I wanted to ask for advice regarding this first if u guys have any :3

PROS N CONS:

Get new Ipad + Pencil bundle

Pros:
- Get to have an iPad full time! I share my current one with my youngest sibling
- New Apple Pencil!
- Don’t have to risk this one dying on me randomly
- Sibling can have this iPad so it won’t go to waste

Cons:
- EXPENSIVE!! I’d rather not spend so much money
- not sure if it’s worth it or not tbh
- I don’t necessarily NEED this new iPad

Just roll w my current iPad/get the same gen

Pros:
- I just need a new 1st gen Apple Pencil and/or my current iPad’s gen, it’s much cheaper!

Cons:
- iPad is old and heats up a lot frowns
- have to share with youngest sibling making it ineffective for work .. also sometimes it comes back sticky + dirty bleghh

OVERALL
I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil? Whether it’s worth it or not, cons, pros, etc… and maybe iPads that best goes with it! Obviously I’ll also be doing research independently but I thought I’d let y’all have some input!

Gen 2 pencil does its job, smooth and nice and personally i use a little grippy thing because it’s just that smooth LOL. i like not having to plug it in to a wired charger but you still can if that’s preferred.

Also, got my ipad (12.5 inch) for around $300-400, used ofc. i believe it’s a 3rd gen, and I’ve had it for 4 years now. incredibly long lasting especially with how much I use it..pretty much ALL the time. only thing that bothers me is the storage, but that’s a personal problem you can avoid. if u can afford it, it’s probably the best. good luck :D

Personally i use the 1st gen apple pencil with a 10.8 ipad 9th gen, but tbh from what your sayin it seems like the pros do outweigh the cons, so id go for it personally :)

i have an ipad pro 11inch and the gen 2 apple pencil and so far they’re my favorite to draw on! they work super well together and i havent had any heat problems and the pencil is sturdier than gen 1. id recommend, its a great investment!

As someone who has an ipad air 4 as well as a second gen pencil it’s not the worst. Its a bit pricey but its worth it, with being able to just attach to the iPad to charge makes a big difference, plus if you’re not constantly drawing your pen shouldn’t just die, but there’s also cheaper alternatives that work the same and/or have a bit more ease to use.

Ever since I upgraded to an Apple air 4 + Apple Pencil 2 I have NEVER looked back, genuinely one of the best purchases I ever made. It might be expensive but it is SOOO worth it in the long run, I’ve had my iPad for around over a full year and I don’t have any problems with it, it doesn’t even have any scratches or cracks (i have a screen protector on it anyways so that helps)

I also suggest going looking on back market, I got a lot of my electronics from there and it’s an amazing website!! I got my iPhone for like $300 less than what it costs new, and it works so well still.

id say go with a new 2nd gen pencil + ipad! i have the 2nd gen and ipad air 4, and it has always worked wonderfully for me :) air 4 is one of the cheaper ipads compatible with 2nd gen pencil iirc, i got mine second hand (ebay) and ive never had any problems with it! If money is a concern, definitely look around online from second hand stores like ebay n stuff because straight from apple is hella expensive. Either way, I think its definitely worth the investment since you art alot and make profit from it!! :)

ive had my 2nd gen apple pencil + ipad for about 4 and a half years now and theyre both still in amazing condition! definitely worth it imo!!

I dont personally use any apple products but I think when it comes to effiecency it might be better to get a new ipad- since this one is heating up and old it might die randomly...... I know its expensive but since this one wont come to waste bc your younger sibling will have it i think its worth buying a new ipad!

Hihi! I’m not really good on speaking about reviews but I have bought the Ipad Air and it came with the gen2 apple pencil! ( A bundle/deal ) Yes it is very expensive and I do believe you could get the same apple pencil ^^

But my take on both the ipad Air and the Apple Pencil gen2 is that its pretty good so far from what Ive seen! It splits screens you can add a new window and I‘m not sure if this works with other apple pencils because this is my first ipad and apple pencil but the apple pencil charges whilst on the iPad ( Like a magnet ), and the ipad charges really fast and the apple pen dies out slower!

I think that’s all I have to say from there! Yet again it is expensive ( Mine came to 1,000+ </3 )
