So today my mom had a health scare and currently I'm sitting in her hospital room as we wait for an MRI. She's already had bloodwork and other tests run to rule out the possibility of a stroke. She seems coherent and stable, she's even been making jokes and we've been talking about things, so I remain optimistic! However, I know we're both already stressing over the costs of the visit as well as the ambulance ride she had to take. I was dropped down to a part-time at my job so while I can help her, I won't be able to help as much as I would desire 🥲

Mom is doing well and it doesn't appear that she had a stroke or anything. At least all tests came back negative for it. Her heart also looks good all things considered but they want her to speak with her cardiologist to see if she would like to seek treatment for her atria (which look like they make her a bit more prone to strokes, though she didn't have one). So we're probably going to do that when we can, but for now we just want to go home. It's been almost 24 hours and we're both exhausted 😩

I'm glad to hear that it wasn't a stroke and that your mom is doing well! I know her heart has been a concern for a while but it's good to hear that it seems good for now.
