What are Phish-Keepers?

Phish-Keepers (or P-K’s) are a Closed Species of amphibious reptilian creatures that act as caregivers to a Fish or Sea Creature companion that lives (usually) in a pouch on their stomach. Their colours, markings and features are often based on the companion they live with and have a wide range of variation!

All information on this Species can be found in the World, in the Extras folder. Click the Species Resources character profile and all of the Lore Literatures and References/Guides will be available!

How do I get my own Phish-Keeper?

There are multiple ways to obtain your own P-K, they are listed below!

• MYO events (held once or twice throughout the year)
• DTA’s (Draw to Adopts)
• WTA’s (Write to Adopts)
• OTA’s (Offer to Adopts)
• Auctions
• Other adoptable types made & sold frequently
• Purchasable MYO slots
• Exchanging earned Prompt rewards (Gold and Silver Land Pennies)

What are Prompts?

Prompts are Monthly/Bi-monthly tasks set by the Phish-Keeper World admins, usually as a small line of text describing a scenario or setting the scene for how the Prompt would like you to draw or write about your P-K.

If you take part and make some art, or write about your character for a Prompt, you will earn a Reward roll! Reward roll allow you to earn certain Loot that your P-K can use in the World Shop to purchase the following:

• Colour change items (to edit your P-K’s colours)
• Design change items (to edit your P-K’s overall design)
• Feature change items (to edit your P-K’s features, fins, scale placement & other extras)
• Unique trait items (to give your P-K an extra Unique trait)
• Water Stone change items (to edit the shape, size, colour and amount of Water Stones on your P-K)
• Home upgrades (to add cosmetic extras to the Living Space of your P-K)

You can also earn Prompt exclusive Familiars, which can increase your Reward rolls earned for making Art/Literature, increase your Reward roll rarity rates and can even double your Reward outcomes!

How many times can I enter for a Prompt?

As many times as you like!

There is no limit on monthly or Bi-monthly Prompt entries, and each individual entry will earn separate rewards.

What are Quests?

Quests are a type of Prompt set by NPC characters, where they will ask your P-K Character to gather an item/items for them in exchange for something Rare or Valuable!

This is usually an exclusive Trinket that will not be available any other way, but there are other Rare items that can be earned for completing Quests not yet listed.

What is ‘Phish-Keeper of the Month’?

’Phish-Keeper of the Month’ is a title awarded to a Non-Admin P-K every month!

This P-K Character is held in high regard for that month, and brings with it an extra perk: Draw that Phish-Keeper in any Prompt related art for that month and you will earn Double Reward rolls! (2x loot)

Can I make a Phish-Keeper outside of events?

No, not without purchasing an MYO slot from our shop, or exchanging Prompt rewards for an MYO slot. Proof of purchase must be shown when making an MYO P-K from a bought slot.

Only Admins are permitted to make Phish-Keepers outside of events.

Can I draw an NPC Character with my Character?

Yes!

All NPC’s are free to draw with your P-K’s, and can also be used for people who don’t have P-K’s of their own (as long as the art is submitted to their galleries afterwards, we’d love to be able to show off all the art you make)!

Can I draw another Phish-Keeper Character with my Character?

Yes, in fact we highly encourage it! 

Side Note - Please check with the owner of the P-K Character first before you draw them, though we like to promote drawing other people’s Characters best to check with the owner first just in case they don’t want them drawn.

Drawing another P-K that is not your own, or drawing the Phish-Keeper of the month, will earn you double rewards when making Prompt or Quest related art.

Can I adopt/buy any of the NPC Phish-Keepers?

No, the NPC characters are an integral part of the Phish-Keeper World and Lore, therefore they will never be sold, given away or traded.

Can i draw my Phish-Keeper Anthro, or as a different Species?

Canonically, P-K’s are a Feral species, meaning they live and walk on all fours. In general, for canon World based art and Prompt related art (unless stated otherwise by the Prompt itself) we would prefer if they stayed Feral.

However, you are welcome to make one off pieces experimenting with species changes, or Anthropomorphising them if you like as we have nothing against people doing what they like with their own characters! Though please be aware, the art made in this way will not count towards Events or Prompts (unless the Prompt or Event states otherwise).

Any art made of an Alternate form for your character will still count towards total worth, if you ever wanted to sell them.

How do I sell my Phish-Keeper?

You can sell your P-K however you like, for whatever price you deem they are worth - within reason. We will be setting up a World Selling/Re-buying Bulletin in the future for quick sales in future, that will be linked here once it has been made!

If your character has no extra art, they have no added value and must be sold for the price you bought them for (MYO slot price or Adopt price depending on how you obtained them. If they were traded, DTA/WTA won then they cannot be resold and must be re-traded or raffled instead).
