GENERAL

• Viperialis descend from the Dragon centaurs (Pugatori), but they no longer share their deep connection to the Heat-Nexus. To strengthen the latter, and to control their strong magic, every unborn Viperialis has to pass through the ritual of genesis in which the Sphera is thrown back into the Abyss. The ritual succeeds if one or several Arenpede are able to bite the Sphera without destroying it: in this case, the sphere gets put back into the Nexus.
• Most Viperialis lose their draconic traits due to the Arenpedes attaching to their bodies; ridding them of their horns and tails that they only get to maintain in rather rare cases. They keep their inherited paws and heat-resistant skin, however, and for all dragon features lost, an Arenpede's can grow in their place.
• As befitting to their roots, Viperialis are very sensitive to cold temperatures and prefer living in warmer climates.
• Outstandingly strong members of this species can develop a so-called "heart" on top of their bodies that acts as a visible solidification of their magic.

• Felivati: Viperialis have no general opinion of them. They can be friendly or hostile.
• Viperialis: Viperialis see each other as either rivals or equals.
• Tinaiconis: Tinaiconis are admired by the Viperialis.
• Pica Demons: Viperialis are skeptical towards the Demons since most of them know of their treacherous nature.
• Arcaneri: Many Viperialis that live in Ankamar only know the Arcaneri from stories and thus treat them with mistrust; those from Pardalis are unbiased.
• Fragsomni: Viperialis are skeptical towards the Fragsomni.
• Mirajit: The Viperialis thinks of them as eerie.
