I learned recently that all of our knowledge of Norse myth is very subject to interpretation because the Norse didn't really write much down. The main remaining texts we have today are the Prose Edda and the Poetic Edda. The Prose Edda was written by a Christian scholar with political motivations (therefore changing parts of the story to suit his ambitions), and the Poetic Edda is a collection of myths and poems that predate the Prose Edda that was compiled anonymously around the same time in the 13th century. So who really knows what the "true story" is haha
The only thing that seems super wrong at a glance is that Hel is most certainly not Odin's daughter lol!!! although it might have been weird with the way they've characterized Loki to have her be his daughter in their universe haha
YOUR OCS AREN'T SHITTY!!! they are very good!!! i am happy to think of them, I JUST wish it was more ACCURATE LMFAO. i was waiting for the snake the whole time and only a big ol dog and hel came around. of course, marvel also made thor and loki brothers and idt they actually are so.. can't trust them.
you learn something new every day! i had no idea norse history WAS LIKE THAT. im SAD WE DONT HAVE ALL THEIR STUFF. do you study religions and myths and stuff?? :O

I didn't either until very recently!!! I don't study really, but my friend majors in anthropology so they study a lot about religion & its place in ancient society!
They actually recommended me this youtube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCodbH5mUeF-m_BsNueRDjcw ) and I find that it has a decent amount of norse stuff to help supplement my paltry knowledge lol

OOOOOO thANK YOU for the link! i always try to learn more about the various religions and beliefs since i know about.. 0 and grew up with none of them except the basic context of spirituality. norse has always been interesting, especially with how it parallels to other things. but lectures are.. extremely hard to listen to
