HIIII I hope ur doing well!! I just noticed that you said you’re into Spiderman on ur page and I just HAD to comment cause I’ve been obsessed w Spiderman for like… half a year now at least!! I just find it so wild that even after all these years we still have something big in common there lol. Do you have a favorite character from any of the series?? Mines Harry Osborn (unpopular choice I know lol) but Peter is a really close second!!

SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY I hope ur doing well too !!! and omg yes spidey time,,,, Peter is my all time favorite I love 90% of the interpretations of him 😭 especially in tv/movies because a lot of comic runs get really deep into death or gore or such and its like noo I just want to see him cracking jokes and being awkward haha. Its super interesting seeing all the ways Peter and Harry get characterized while still fundamentally having the same relationship between them and I like that Harry is a genuinely nice friend up until things start happening with his dad (even there he tends to get redeemed though). Every series (I assume u mean the tv shows) has its own vibe so my thoughts change throughout- aside from Peter his aunt is usually my second favorite LOL specifically in ultimate spider-man I loved her. I really love how a lot of the spider-man storylines lately show she figured his secret identity out on her own- or she and Peter have a lengthy conversation about it after she does find out. There is an AMAZING comic issue about it that I want to go back and find again because it just. touches my heart so much. I'm so mad they completely omitted their conversation in the MCU, it could've been great.

Oh I totally agree, as much as I like horror I really think spidey is at his best when it doesn't focus on that!! I think it's more interesting when it's not overly gritty and stuff haha. But yeah I totally agree that it's super interesting to see how Harry and Peter's relationship differs through each interpretation! I really liked their dynamic in the original movie trilogy, even though they totally broke my heart-- especially when Harry had amnesia temporarily or when he helped Peter during the final battle, it really showed that despite everything, he still cares a lot about his friends. I actually started a character analysis essay on him where I'll probably talk a lot about the different portrayals of his relationship with Peter! I just think their dynamic is super interesting. I also think the coffee bean gang friend group dynamic from the original comics was super cute! It's so sad that that idea was never shown in the movies at all :"
I love aunt May too!! Honestly her relationship with Peter is so important imo so I love it when she gets more screen time or gets to have those kinds of conversations with him. Her scene with him in TASM2 specifically broke my heart honestly, even if that wasn't about him being spider-man haha. If you ever figure out which issue that was let me know because I'd love to read it!! I haven't started any of the shows yet tbh, I've just rewatched the movies about a million times haha, but I was thinking about starting with either Marvel's Spider-Man (partially because the Harry design in that one is super cute lol) or the Spectacular Spider-Man, but I think the really old cartoons would be a lot of fun to watch too!!
