I believe it's some weirdness with bulbapedia's image hosting, it happens to me too on and off. if you upload the images somewhere else and use those links instead, it should work. this is an old / low priority code for me so I probably won't be updating it myself, sorry.
is this related to the reason the click areas on those icons are inconsistent? Sometimes they work perfectly, other times I have a hard time getting the cursor to register them as links.
