"Hello, Marcus... I see you're doing as well as a human being can...  you'll be pleased to know that my supervisors were satisfied when I relayed to them your physical statistics. How have you been? That is what humans inquire about after extended periods off social separation, is it not?"

"Ah! Good to see you again friend. Glad I can please your superiors. And Iv been great Beastly. Just been up to my usual self as always. Hahaha. And Yes, that is how we greet each other after not seeing one another, How about you, how have you been and how are your humanly interactions working out?"

"Good to know... I'm not entirely well versed in homosapien affairs. Being on earth has certainly been interesting.. your species is so vast and unique. Why are all of you so different? On my homeworld, most share hiveminds and think alike... only the highest have the right to sentience... but here, all of you are so eccentric... What exactly makes you, you?

"Ha!! Don't be fooled Beastly. Humans are only good at pretending to be different, they are all basically the same. Most are lost and need a leader, but refuse to take one. They rather be rebels in an attempt to be different. That's how stupid humans are. Now a hive mind is a great thing. Humans need to learn how to work together like your species! A unison mind with a great leader makes for a great society. As for me, I am commander of men! So I am regarded as high rank. What of you Beastly? You're highly intelligent, are you highest form of your species? You certainly don't fit the mold to be a hiveminded creature."

(oh gosh, why is Volxun asking for Marcus' opinion! LOL. the dude isn't an individualist, he don't believe in that! he only believes in teamwork and a great leader to lead a team. LOL)

(LOL I MEAN HE SOUNDS LIKE HER SUPERIORS SO SHE'S USED TO IT)

"An interesting sentiment. I think you'd like my superior... it seems you share a similar mindset to them... And with such a high rank, perhaps they'd allow you access to the 3rd quadrant." With a rumbling hum, the alien bent down to his level and sat, her tail wrapping neatly around her gnarly talons. Gentle breaths rolled through her body as her fur swayed above. "I am not of the same species that commands me... I am unique. As of now, they have yet to find anything like me... and because I am not of the same species, I operate free from the chains of the hivemind... still, I am under their control in other ways. Free will does not necessarily mean free existence, no?"

The alien grumbled, her ears lowering as she contemplated her words.

"I am of a higher ranking on my home planet as well, and should I be needed, I can also command others to do my bidding... but there is no point... the hive-mind is clumsy and cumbersome when relaying intricately constructed instructions and details... how do you humans put it- 'if you wan't something done right, you do it yourself.'"

"Your superior sounds like my kind of beings." Rubbing his beard and nodding in approval. "Though, I too have superiors I have to report to. Don't we all? Haha! I'm just the man who knows his role in the piece of the puzzle and doesn't complain!"

Marcus observes her movements, "So you are an assistant to your commander? Where do you belong in the piece of the puzzle? How did they acquire you Beastly? Did you came willingly or did they shackle you."

He pauses for a bit. "Do you miss your home planet?"
